I turned around, slamming my locker shut. I gasped in shock, as I came face to face with Jason Matthews. "Oh um, hi Jason" I said, slightly awkwardly. He smiled at me, showing off the dimple in his cheek. Jason has had a crush on me since the 3rd grade. Everybody knew it. I mean he was slightly obvious. And he wasn't bad looking, really. It was just...I don't know. I was never really into him. Juliet was always nagging me, and telling me that I should get with him since he's "so hot" and I'm "so lucky that he likes me." But he was a little insistent. And by a little, I mean a lot. "How's it going?" He asked, winking. Was there a need for him to wink there? What'd he think I was going to do? Keel over from his supposed charm? "Um..fine I guess? Look, Jason, you're a really nice guy and all, but I seriously have to get to class. And, I kinda don't have time for this, no offense...." I trailed off, as Jason put his finger to my lips. "Look babe, I know you have to get to class, but I just figured I'd stop by and tell you, that there's going to be a party at my place tonight, and you're invited." He smirked, and winked again. Dude seriously, that's enough winking. I frowned. "Well, I'm probably going to have a lot of homework tonight, and I normally don't go to parties, especially on school nights" I said, lamely. God, that was a stupid excuse. He just smiled again. "Well, if you change your mind, I'll be waiting for ya, mm k?" He said, popping the k. "Yeah...okay. Listen, I uh, really gotta go now. Bye Jason. Nice talking to you." I walked away as fast as I could. Jesus, there was no way in hell I was going to that party.
Boy was I wrong.
