Better Than Words (Book 2)

Chapter 4

We finally got home and opened the door to see Carly running down to give us a hug. Then she started to peak in the bags, well tried.

"You can't look in here this time, it's a surprise," I told her quietly.

I took the rest of the bags from Zayn and went up to our room, well first I went into Brit's nursery to give her a kiss. She was asleep and didn't wake up when I gave her a soft kiss. I took out the stuff while Zayn put Carly to sleep.

"Ok, I'm going to get a small box so I can put Bella's hats in and a flat box that had your shirt in for Liam's sweatshirt," I told Zayn as he came in.

"Alright, I'll be sorting the gifts out." He huffed. I nodded and walked out the door.

I walked downstairs and turned on the kitchen light and dug through the pile of boxes for the two I was talking about to Zayn. I filled Oliver and Chester's food dishes. I turned off the light and walked back to the room and dropped the boxes onto the bed.

"I'm going to check on Brit," Zayn coughed as he got up and went to the nursery.

"Ok, I'll start packing Bella's and Liam's gifts," I called as he left the room.

I picked up the hats for Bella and set them in a small square box. Next I picked up Liam's sweatshirt and folded it up to set it in the flat box. I grabbed the red wrapping paper with golden dots and wrapped both boxes up and put a silver ribbon on top.

Zayn returned with Brit in his arms and set out a blanket and placed her on it on the bed.

For the past hour we finished up wrapping out presents and placing them under the bed for right now. Tomorrow we're going on a family Christmas tree hunt at a tree farm. Yeah a tree farm were they sell Christmas trees, the owners actually has good looking trees so we are projector a neat one. We ended the night with a TV show that is men and Zayn's favorite show, Friends. I love that show! If I had to pick a favorite character I'd pick Chandler or Joey.

The following morning was just a regular Malik family day. It starts off with breakfast in the morning and plans later in the day. I was the first one up. Zayn, Carly and Brit were still asleep, well Brit only has been asleep for close to an hour.

I slowly got up and sat at the edge of the bed and stretched. I looked over at Zayn to see him still asleep I smiled and placed my hand on his leg and got up and left the room. I'm still overwhelmed about what happened yesterday, he proposed to me. Zayn is now my Fiancé! I look at my ring and smiled. I decided to start breakfast so I went to the cupboards underneath the counter and pulled out a frying pan and went to the fridge to grab a cartoon of eggs and a pack of bacon. Mmm bacon. I opened the pack of bacon and took two strips of bacon and placed them on the hot pan. Listening to them sizzle I went over to the counter and picked up my phone, I scrolled through the news feed of Twitter to see what's up and see that everyone was talking about our engagement even Facebook was all about our engagement! Jeez lots of people are complaining. It made my heart drop, everyone is saying crap about me and saying it's my fault Zayn left the biggest boy band in the world just for me. Well late me tell you what, it isn't true!

I put my phone back on the counter and went back to focus on breakfast I picked up the two strips and placed them on the the plate next to the stove. When I put another two strips in I felt arms wrapped around my waist I look up to see Zayn.

"Morning sunshine," Zayn greeted giving me a morning kiss.

I smiled, "Morning."

He smiled and place his chin on my shoulder with his arms still wrapped around me.

"Did you see what people are saying about our engagement?" I asked Zayn.

"Yes I did," Zayn said slowly letting out a sigh. "I do not appreciate what their saying about you, I did not leave the lads cause of you. Don't let that get to your head Emma,"

"I don't know Zayn," I said with tears building up as they slid down I wiped them away with my pointer finger. "Why is this happening? I lost 500 followers on Twitter, just because of the news. I don't understand why they come out and attack me, what's wrong with me?" I began to cry.

Zayn turned me around grabbed my shoulders lightly with his hands and stared at me right in the eyes. "Emma, nothing's wrong with you. Your amazing, your the love of my life and you have 2 beautiful daughters. Your kind hearted these people are just jealous cause their my fans and loves me. They just wish they were you, nothing is wrong with you honey," he soothed me bringing me into a hug and kissed me on head. "I love you Ems,"

I let out a soft cry before responding, "I love you too,"

Zayn looked at the stove and saw the burning bacon. "Let me cook you can get the girls,"

I nodded and wiped the tears away.

After breakfast I sent out Bella her gift and put the girls in the mini van so we can head to the tree farm. Once Zayn got into the passenger seat I got in and drove onto the road and went to the farm.

We returned from the tree farmed with our first Christmas tree as a family and I went downstairs to grab the stand. When I got to the basement as I reached for the tree stand when I accidentally knocked down a box of pictures. I bent down to pick them up when I noticed they were pictures of Zayn and I when I was 18, I'm currently 21 so that was two years ago. Dang I changed a lot. I smiled at one where we were at a party my flashback was interrupted when Zayn called my name.

"Emma have you found it yet?" Zayn asked from the top of the stairs.

"Y-yeah be up in a minute!" I called back.

Once we got done decorating the tree Zayn picked up Carly so she could put on the star. He put down Carly and sat down next to me when my phone buzzed. I turned my phone and noticed it was from Louis.

Louis: Hey can I call you?

Me: Um..Yeah

Louis: Ok, put me on speaker if Zayn is there.

I looked at Zayn confused when Louis's picture popped up calling me. I answered it. "Ok your on speaker Louis," I said.

"Ok, I need to tell you two something," Louis began slowly and nervously on the phone.

"What is it Louie?" Zayn leaned in.

"I'm going to be a dad."

Omg! Did you guys hear the news that Louis is going to be a Dad!? I'm so shocked! I never knew he had seeing a girl name Briana after his breakup with Eleanor! I thought he was single ever since the breakup and Louis kept getting seen by a fifth harmony member and a model but turns out He was actually with a stylist name Briana? Eeee!  So can't wait till the baby is born, so it July and won't be born till sometime around April or the beginning of May. I can't wait until the gender of his child is announced, hopefully a miscarriage won't happen. So can believe Louis is going to be a dad!! Gahhh I'm so overwhelmed! :3 he's going to be a wonderful dad don't you agree?
