I chuckled aloud excitedly as I heard live music being played from inside, astounded by the liveliness of those not far from me. The three snuck us into a mansion, one that was hosting some party. People still in line out front trying to get in, but apparently the three didn't feel like waiting. They soundlessly slip into a room, leaving me on the outside to wait for them.
"What are you doing back here?! Guests are not allowed in this section of the house!" I jumped as a voice exited one of the many rooms, turning to face them.
"Oh! Do, pardon me. I was looking for the bathroom and I managed to get myself lost, could you help me?" I play off smoothly, not wanting to bring attention to the boys.
"This way, next time ask another lady to accompany you!" I turn back as he leads me away, seeing the three exit the room in help suites now. They're trying to be discreet, but why? They were trying to be undercover right now, so for the time being I would have to as well. I thank him for showing me the way, watching him leave before carrying on further into the house, people littered everywhere. I gape at the scene, suddenly overwhelmed by the amount of people. I was offered a drink then, taking it as it was practically forced upon me.
"That has got to be the loveliest shades of green I have ever seen!" I was stopped by a woman a bit older than I, turning me to get a better view of the dress I wore.
"And it looks so lovely on you! Oh! Tell me you are not here with someone!" My mouth opened to reply but words refused to form.
"I, I did. He helped me pick this out." I look down at the dress more, wondering if Axel found it as pretty as she did.
"That's a shame. My son, he's single and looking.." She gives me a wink, a suprised chuckle bubbling out of me as I covered my mouth in modesty and looked around for on lookers. She laughs at my reaction.
"You are just the most adorable thing-! Are you sure you aren't free? I just know my Sammy would love you!" I smiled nervously, a part of me not liking how loud she was as it caused people to look.
"Sorry. I'm sure he's a nice fellow though." I was meekish, the first time I've actually talked to someone other then the boys, and dress keep too, but not like this. I had no idea what to say, or to talk about. Was if normal to be pratically offered upon during your first encounter with people? Or just at events like this?
"So, where is the lucky, man? He must be husband if he's manage to catch you." She steps closer to me, scanning the crowd for what I was suspecting to supposed to be my date. As she turns me, my eyes can't help but glance around, relief and comfort washing over me as I see Axel a distance away, serving a platter as his eyes send me a brief look.
"Oh, he's um, around here.." I say discreetly. She chuckles with humor.
"I'm sure he'll pop up eventually, some of the men like to sneak off and smoke their filthy cigars upstairs. Us ladies aren't allowed up there so, don't stray too far." I nod at this.
