I walked into Blake's house, my bags in hand. The house was dark besides one light casting into the living room.
"What the hell, Blake?" A voice said from the living room as we stood in the kitchen. We turned around, seeing a woman wearing a red robe, her dark hair pulled into a ponytail.
"You're still awake?" Blake asked.
"You bumped into a guard rail while driving my car, what do you think?" She scolded, putting her hand on her hip as she walked into the light.
"Can we talk about this tomorrow?" He asked, turning to the fridge. She rubbed her temples, letting out a sigh.
"Yeah. Get to bed, you have work tomorrow." She said defeatedly before walking away. I looked up at Blake.
"I think she's mad at you." I whisper, leaning against the fridge. He chuckled, pouring tea into his cup.
"Mad would be an understatement." He put the gallon of tea back in the fridge before turning to me. He wrapped an arm around me, pulling me close. I wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head on his chest. "It was worth it." He whispered, kissing my forehead before pulling away. "Now let's give you the tour." He smiled, grabbing my bags and his cup of tea. He led me to the stairs where we walked up. "This is the upstairs living room." He said as we got to the top of the stairs. A bookshelf stood to the left of the stairs. A black chalkboard covered the left wall with drawings on it. A white desk with a 2000s desktop computer in the corner. A three person couch sat on the back wall with a huge bean bag seat next to it in the corner. A huge tv mounted on the wall next to the stairs above a console, a ps4 sat on top with some snacks. We walked through the living room, before we got to the hallway, he pointed to a door connected to the living room. "The laundry room." He said, turning on the light for a second. We walked down the hallway and he pointed to the door on the right. "The bathroom." He then pointed to a door on the left. "My sisters room." He pointed back to the right. "Dalton's room." Then pointed back to the left. "My room." He opened the door. The walls were a dark blue, besides the right wall which was a fake brick wall where four electric guitars hung. A king bed sat against the opposite wall under a window, a full body mirror at the end of the bed against the wall. The PC setup I always saw in pictures against the fake brick wall.
"Looks smaller in person." I smirk as I walk fully in, laying my bag down on the floor where he sat my other bags.
"Sorry let me just make it bigger for you." He smirked back. I chuckled as I sat on the bed. "Tired?" He asked.
"It is almost 4am and you have to wake up in 5 hours." I replied. He chuckled.
"Very true." He slumped on the bed next to me, wrapping his arms around me, pulling me to his chest. I smiled as I closed my eyes, getting comfortable and taking in his scent. It felt weird moving in with him and his family, but it's better than living at home. Taking care of grandparents who have dementia is tolling. It was nice to be able to live my life for once. Before I knew it, I was waking up to his alarm going off.
"Blake." I whispered while shaking him. His eyes fluttered open, he smiled as he looked at me.
"I could get used to this." He said, rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
"Me too." I grinned.
"I don't wanna go to work." He groaned.
"Do you want us to be living with your mom forever?"
"No."
"Then get up." He groaned again before sitting up.
"You could just say you hate me." He said sarcastically as he rolled out of bed. I chuckled at his dramaticness before laying back down, checking my phone. Missed call from my sister and my dad. I'll call them back later.
