-Kat-

I woke up to the sun in my eyes. I groaned rolling over, grabbing my phone off of the nightstand. 9:49am. I groan again, rolling out of bed. Mochi jumped off the bed, looking up at me.

"Morning, pretty." I smile, bending down to pet her. I walk over to my closet and pull out a bikini along with shorts and a short sleeve button up.I walk into the bathroom, turning on the shower.

'You're still coming, right?' I texted Cameron. I set my phone down on the sink before hopping in the shower.

After my shower, I hop out and get dressed into my red bikini, jean shorts, and my hawaiian shirt that I left unbuttoned. I brush my teeth and put cat food in Mochi's bowl before walking downstairs.

"Morning." Sarah smiled as she rushed around, cleaning up baby toys and trash that Adam and his friends probably left behind. Don't get me wrong, they were a lot of fun to hang out with and they were my friends too, but they left the worst messes behind.

"Want help?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I got it. I'm almost done anyway." She replied. I nodded and grabbed an apple.

"What about dad?" She shook her head again.

"You know how he gets." I nod.

"Facts." I walk downstairs to the basement, seeing the four boys all passed out on the floor. "Really?" I said to myself. I sighed, walking up to them. "WAKE UP!" I yelled. All at once, the boys wake up, looking at me.

"What the fuck, bro." Luke groans.

"Kat, go away." Adam also groans. I chuckle at them.

"No, wake the fuck up. We got a barbecue to get ready for. Sarah and dad invited the whole neighborhood." I replied. They groaned again before sitting up. "Also, go help Sarah clean up your mess, Adam." I say, before walking back upstairs. I start bringing the food and snacks outside one by one, setting them on the designated tables.

As I'm bringing out the last bowl of chips, people start arriving. I greet them as they walk outside. It didn't feel like this was my house anymore with the way my backyard started to fill with, what looked like, rich preppy 30 year olds and their kids. There were a few people around my age but again, rich preppy. My dad surely wasn't poor, our house proved that, but I wasn't used to having money like this. Not like Adam, Sarah and my dad. I still felt out of place a little. Especially with everyone here looking like they graduated from Harvard.

I walk back inside and sit on the couch, sighing. I got maybe a minute of silence before I heard loud footsteps running up the basement stairs and the door burst open. The voices of the boys quickly filled my ears and the room.

"Can you guys be quieter?" I asked.

"Silence, witch." I sat up from the couch, looking at them.

"What did you say to me?"

"I said my bad, we'll be quieter." Alex said. I rolled my eyes and laid back down. Before I knew it, I was being hoisted in the air.

"Put me down!" I yelled, hitting his back.

"No can do, brothers orders." Luke said as I watched us leave the comfort and cool of the house and into the heat of the outdoors.

"Luke, I swear to god, I will not go to your wedding." I said.

"Who said I'm ever getting married?" I could practically hear the smirk on Luke's face. I watched as he carried me down the stairs of the porch.

"Luke!" I yelled louder, kicking and hitting, knowing exactly where this was going. Suddenly, I was engulfed by water. I swam back up to the surface, staring up at the boys as they laughed.
