You listen intently as Thalgrim describes the unique properties of the ingredients, and immediately your mind begins to whirl with possibilities. The Emberpepper and Frostmint sound like the perfect combination for a snack that offers a dramatic contrast of sensations, while the Nightsilk Honey would be ideal for creating an energizing treat with a bit of a magical kick.

After Thalgrim finishes, you can't help but share your ideas with him. "Those ingredients sound perfect," you say, enthusiasm clear in your voice. "I'm thinking of using the Emberpepper and Frostmint together to create a Spicy Hot and Cold Fruit Cup. It would give the eater an experience like they've never had before—icy and fiery at the same time, with a fun side effect of making them breathe smoke. And with the Nightsilk Honey, I'm envisioning Energizing Granola Bars that not only taste great but also give a slight boost to speed. It'd be perfect for anyone who needs a little extra energy to get through the day."

Thalgrim's eyes light up with genuine interest as he listens to your plans. "Now those are some inspired ideas, Larry. A fruit cup that makes you feel both the burn and the chill? That's sure to be a hit, especially with the right crowd. And those granola bars—practical, but with a touch of magic that makes them stand out. You've got a real knack for this."

He pauses, then adds, "Emberpepper and Frostmint aren't the easiest to come by, but I do have a lead on where you might find them. As for the Nightsilk Honey, I've got a small supply on hand, which I'd be willing to part with in exchange for more of your magical snacks—those Giggle Puddings, for instance, or whatever else you whip up next."

Acquiring the Ingredients:

Emberpepper: Thalgrim explains that Emberpepper grows near volcanic regions, where the earth is still hot from the molten rock beneath. While you won't find any active volcanoes nearby, he mentions a merchant who deals in rare spices and herbs, often bringing in goods from distant lands. The merchant usually sets up shop in the western part of the market, near the spice traders. "He's not always in the market, but when he is, he's your best bet for finding Emberpepper," Thalgrim says. Frostmint: Frostmint is even rarer, found only in the coldest, most remote areas. However, Thalgrim mentions a traveling apothecary who occasionally visits the market with a cart full of rare plants and herbs. This apothecary, known as Willow Winterborn, is said to have a small stash of Frostmint, carefully cultivated and preserved for the right buyer. "Willow's a bit eccentric, but she knows her plants," Thalgrim notes. "If she has Frostmint, she'll part with it—for the right price." Nightsilk Honey: Thalgrim reaches into his cloak and pulls out a small, intricately carved jar. It's made of dark wood, with delicate silver inlays depicting nocturnal creatures—owls, bats, and moonflowers. He hands it to you with a faint smile. "This is a small sample of Nightsilk Honey. It's potent stuff—use it sparingly. In exchange, I'd like a few more of those Giggle Puddings and a couple of your next creations. I'm curious to see what you come up with."

You nod in agreement with Thalgrim, pleased with the deal. "You've got a deal, Thalgrim," you say, reaching into your basket and handing him a few more Giggle Puddings as part of the trade. "I'll bring you some of my new creations once they're ready. Thanks for the Nightsilk Honey—and for pointing me in the right direction to find those other ingredients."

Thalgrim accepts the puddings with a small smile, carefully tucking them away into his cloak. "I look forward to seeing what you come up with next, Larry. And remember, if you ever need more advice or ingredients, you know where to find me."

With the exchange complete, you tuck the jar ofNightsilk Honey safely into your pack and make your way back through themarket, heading toward Borlan's stall. As you walk, you think about the newrecipes you're planning to create and the potential they have to draw even morecustomers. You're going to need funds to acquire the Emberpepper and Frostmint,so ensuring your current snacks sell well is top priority.
