"Hey, hon, how was your hunt?" Catherine asked with a sweet smile as Jasper returned from his night-long hunt.

"Refreshing," Jasper smiled and took off his dirty shoes, leaving them by the open door.

"How's my girl?" Jasper asked with a broad grin.

But instead of Catherine, he was looking at his daughter. Melanie Esme Cullen/Hale.

"She slept pretty great tonight, and ate her breakfast like a champ," Catherine smiled down at the four-month-old baby that she was bouncing in her arms.

"Hi, gorgeous," Jasper quickly washed his hands before reaching out to take his daughter from his wife.

"Hi, other gorgeous," Jasper quickly kissed Catherine before immediately diverting his attention back to his daughter.

"Hi, Mel! Were you nice to mommy?" He cooed while lifting the baby high in the air, grinning up at her.

"She woke up crying once because of a stinky diaper," Catherine explained while lovingly staring at Jasper interacting with their daughter.

"Ewww, Melanie!" Jasper pretended to be offended while holding his daughter closer to him. Melanie was laughing, high-pitched, and oh, so cute.

Catherine laughed and placed a hand on Jasper's back.

"What did you catch?" Catherine asked referring to Jasper's hunt.

"Herd of deer. Left a few outside for you," Jasper softly explained as Melanie's eyes begane to flutter closed.

"It's time for her nap," Catherine said while stroking the back of her finger on Melanie's soft cheek.

"I'll take her," Catherine reached out to grab her daughter again.

"Let's get you to sleep, huh, baby?" Catherine cooed while bouncing her baby up and down, slowly walking out of the room.

After putting Melanie in her crib to sleep, Catherine returned to her husband in the kitchen.

"I love you," Catherine leaned her head against his chest while encasing his waist in her arms.

"I love you too, Cathy."

A/N: I. Can't. Believe. It.
I cannot believe that I'm done with this book.
I've been writing this for a while now, so it has become quite a big part of my life. I am gonna take a break from posting anything for a little while so I can just focus on improving my writing skills without having to worry about updating a book.
For a first fanfic, I'm really proud of this.
If you've come this far, thank you. Thanks so much.
