* The End Of Summer *

"Aunt Jenny makes the most amazing cherry pie... you gotta' try it" lily holds out a plate of delightful delicacies.

Bonnie smiles, the warm smell reminding her of home, and accepts the dish.

With the slightly cooler wind setting in, bonnie pulls her cardigan over her her shoulders to fight off the chill.

She eventually finds herself stood at the fence, outlooking the horses roaming free, a smile resting peacefully on her face.

"Hey" Tyler places an arm over her shoulder before pressing a kiss onto the woman's cheek.

"Hi" bonnie looks up at him, her cheeks now a shade of pink.

"You always gonna' blush when I'm around you? That a thing with Nebraskan girls?" He chuckles, his eyes desperately trying to savour her features yet again.

"Shut up..." bonnie nudges him slightly, earning a chuckle from the man's lips.

They share a moment of silence before the sound of an older woman reaches their ears.

It doesn't take long for everyone to seat themselves, and Bonnie sits opposite Tyler as their feet touch beneath the table.

"I'm glad y'all decided to stop by, I was getting worried" Jenny smiles, looking at the lively bunch.

Everyone smiles at the woman as they dig into the food they've been waiting for since forever.

"And... I'm glad my boy brought someone home. I was starting to think he's doomed to be alone. Y'know, the last time he ever dated a girl was in college..." Jenny winks as she squeezes Bonnies hand with an excited smile, once again reminding her of her mother.

Bonnie smiles, chuckling as she spots Tyler's expression from across the table.

"What? That is not true..." Tyler scoffs, shaking his head as his aunt grins guiltily, although the look on his face says otherwise.

"Alright alright, so go on... tell me, when did you two meet?" Jenny tries to hide her grin, but it doesn't work.

The rest of the crew find themselves too busy eating and chatting amongst themselves to listen, nothing out of the ordinary.

"We met at a rodeo in my hometown, Nebraska. I think it was about six months ago..." Bonnie nods, sipping on her sweet tea.

Tyler smiles, "and how long y'all been together?" Jenny enquires, her chin leaning on her hands.
