28 | THE FEELING WITHIN
WHY was it always difficult for people to tell someone how they felt? Was it because they were afraid of rejection? The feeling of 'knowing' they didn't share the same feeling? It was complicated to change the mind of the brain.
It controlled everything but it couldn't be controlled.
Harry was one hundred percent sure he liked Cassia. Cassia was one hundred percent sure he liked Harry, but, when it came to asking themselves if the other compiled the same feeling.
They just needed a push.
And everyone could see that. The whole group could. It was getting tiring for the VK's and AK's having to know the cluelessness between the pair. It was unbelievable.
Today, Mal had asked Cassia if she could do her the massive favor of helping her sort a closet. Having to find a book that talked about Lady of the Court things — or whatever. She needed to dig through the boxes first.
Cassia of course said yes and offered to help her, but she did ask herself why she didn't ask Evie first, though later on, she knew how the girl with blue hair felt about dust and mud.
When Cassia got to the door of the closet, she remembered how Mal told her not to close the door. Since the lock was broken she could get locked inside, and it could only be open from the outside.
She made sure to leave the door wide open when going inside, of course not wanting to get locked up.
Cassia noticed how Mal was still not there and she figured she was most likely early — as always, and Mal would be showing up any moment. However, the universe — or Aslan — had other plans for the brunette. It was time for the game to begin.
Walking across the hallway from where Cassia was, a certain pirate came into view, his eyes catching a glimpse of the girl. His whistling stopped once he came into the frame, leaning his body next to the wooden door with his hook on the door.
"Hiya, Cassia." His sound made the brunette jump in startled, but when she turned her head and realized it was him she relaxed.
"You scared me." She took a breath.
"My apologies princess," With placing his hand on his chest, he bowed. "Won't happen again." He brought his head back, smirking.
With his body weight, Harry removed his frame from the wood and walked closer to the girl. And when he let go of the door that was under his hook it creaked, closing.
