When Fu Weihao arrived at the suburban courtyard, he pushed open the door and heard the sounds coming from the kitchen. Walking over, he saw Tan Lingling cutting chicken.

Noting the fish in one bowl and the pork belly on a plate, he asked, "Lingling, why are there so many dishes today?"

Tan Lingling, startled by his sudden arrival, almost cut herself.

"Let me handle it..." Fu Weihao said, frowning and reaching for the knife.

Tan Lingling smiled and put the knife down, nudging him with her elbow. "You should hurry to the train station. Xiao Xiao and Ah Yu will be arriving today..."

Fu Weihao was surprised and raised his voice, "The kids are coming over? No adults are with them? When are they arriving..."

Tan Lingling explained, "When Third Brother called, you were on a mission. They took the train three days ago, so they should be arriving today."

"I'll call the military district to arrange a car," Fu Weihao said, not staying any longer. He quickly left the courtyard to find a place to make the call.

He had a bad feeling; Xiao Xiao's arrival at this time clearly indicated there was an issue. Besides arranging a car, he needed to call Third Brother to understand the situation.

Finding a place with a phone, he showed his identification and first called Fu Weilun's office.

When the call connected and he heard the familiar voice, he cut straight to the point.

"Third Brother, it's me, Second Brother."

Fu Weilun's voice was cheerful, "Second Brother, you're back from the mission? Have you picked up the kids?"

"Not yet. I'll head to the train station soon. First, tell me why the kids are coming to the Northwest now?" Fu Weihao asked directly.

There was a brief pause on the other end before Fu Weilun coldly replied, "Second Brother, Anyang County has been very busy these past few days, with investigations and people coming to the house. Xiao Xiao caught two underworld figures who came to our home with sleeping drugs. They threatened the entire family, and Xiao Xiao, being stubborn and furious, is likely coming here to resolve this. You should talk to her and help her out."

Fu Weihao slammed the desk in anger.

After a moment, he composed himself and said coldly, "I understand. Take care of the house... Goodbye."

After hanging up, he couldn't hold back his curse, "Damn it, scoundrels!"

Regaining his composure, he called the military district to inform them of his location and then hung up.

He emerged from the room, handed money to the driver, and waited at the designated spot.

The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. His face darkened, and he tried to control his temper.

After a while, a car arrived. Fu Weihao took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, saluted, and took the driver's seat.

By the time he drove to the train station, it was already dark.

Turning off the engine and removing the key, he got out of the car and walked to where his two sons were sitting.

Seeing Fu Sui almost falling asleep with his head resting on his hand, he nudged him with his foot to wake him up. "Have you checked inside? When is the train arriving?"

Fu Sui looked up at him with a smile, "Dad, you're back from the mission..."

He eagerly stood up, circling Fu Weihao and finally seating him on a stone bench. "Oh, I'm glad you're not hurt. I've been worried about you all week..."
