Chapter 29
It was the early rise of the morning and I can feel the emptiness within my arms. Amber. She wasn't in my arms.
I hate it. I was furious. Enraged. I could– no I should have wrapped my hands around Rachel for such a stunt she pulled last night. Fortnite bitch.
I flipped over to grab my phone after hearing a notification from it.
Keith~ You have work to attend to.
Me~ What kind?
Keith~ Stock, initiation, signing and guns for the initiated.
Me~ Fine. Anything else?
Keith~ Other than the fact that 'she' asked who you were with and where you went. Seeing as you haven't returned last night.
Me~ And you told her...
Keith~ Old associate.
Me~ Be there in 30.
I got up from bed and did all my tasks in the bathroom, I walked out got dressed and headed towards the fifth floor. Where 'she' resides in.
I knocked on the door and about three minutes and six other knocks later, Rachel opened the door. Her hair messy and her dark brown eyes laced with tiredness and anger. I know that look. She's angry that she was woken up.
The moment her eyes focused on me they softened.
Yeah. She's in love with me. Otherwise why would they soften when she saw me.
"Come on. Clean yourself up, we're leaving in 10." I said coldly.
And I saw her eyes drop, along with her head as she left the door open for my entry.
A very light "Okay" was the response I got. She obviously had a bag with some clothes in it. I know because it's her usual habit. Even if it's just a night's stay, she always has a bag of clothes with her.
I walked in and closed the door behind me. I sat and waited for her on the couch.
About 4 minutes later, she came out looking like a slut. Still trying to seduce me but her merits are futile to me. The only woman capable of ever seducing me is her. Her every move, every sway of her hips and the curves of her body is all just perfect, for me.
Rachel, the dark skinned beauty never actually seems to listen. Any man would fall for her. For those charcoal eyes, petite body, curly brown hair and the face of an angel yet body if a seductress.
She'll understand once she finds her own man and just the right amount of rejections would get her thick head in check.
I got up from the couch and opened the door for her, the whisk of vanilla and I don't know what else but it was strong. Unpleasant for my nostrils to take in, I'll have a migraine by how strong this smell is. I don't know what changed, she went from a sweet bearable scent to this strong perfume.
But I don't want her, nor will I ever. I am content with the woman I'm with. And I don't think I will ever look at any other woman but her. She is enough for me.
We reached my car and I drove her to her place. A very silent drive. Good. She got out the car and took her luggage with her.
Finally, now I can do whatever this mafia shit requires me to do.
The part I loath about being a mafia king is having to initiate and just waste my time with having to deal with these kids. Mostly the girls swooning when I say their name.
20 minutes later.
I arrived at the hall. The Crown Hall. A place where rats get to graduate to soldiers.
