At Francisco Office

As the morning sun cast a warm glow through the office windows, Veer and Amrit found themselves seated across from each other, their desks closer than ever. They had decided to put the past behind them and become friends again, but the air was still thick with an unspoken tension.

Amrit glanced at Veer, her fingers nervously tapping on the desk. "Umm... Veer, tumhare paas woh file hai kya?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Veer looked up, a small, shy smile playing on his lips. "Haan, yeh rahi," he replied, handing her the file, their fingers brushing for a brief moment. The touch sent a spark through both of them, and they quickly pulled their hands back, their eyes momentarily locking before darting away.

They both tried to focus on their work, but the silence was deafening. Every now and then, Veer would steal a glance at Amrit, watching as she tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear, her cheeks tinged with a light pink blush.

"Waise... coffee ke liye chalein?" Veer finally suggested, trying to break the ice. His voice was casual, but his heart was pounding.

Amrit looked up, surprised by his sudden invitation. She nodded, a small smile forming on her lips. "Haan, kyun nahi," she agreed, her voice soft, yet filled with an awkward excitement.

As they stood up and walked towards the break room, their shoulders brushed slightly, sending another wave of electricity between them. They exchanged shy smiles, both wondering if this newfound friendship might lead to something more.

It was lunchtime, but Veer was still engrossed in his work, his eyes glued to the computer screen. Amrit, sitting a few desks away, noticed that he hadn't moved from his spot. She waited for a moment, hoping he would get up, but when he didn't, she got up herself, concern evident on her face. She made her way to Bhanu and Saroj, who were observing Veer from a distance.

"Veer abhi tak lunch nahin kar raha?" Amrit asked, a hint of worry in her voice.

Bhanu nodded. "Haan, woh abhi bhi kaam mein busy hai," he replied.

Saroj chimed in, a soft smile on her face. "Par yeh dekhkar achha lag raha hai ki tum dono phir se paas aa rahe ho. Dheere dheere sab normal ho raha hai."

Amrit smiled, feeling a strange warmth in her heart at their words. She glanced down at her tiffin, noticing the Rasmalai she had packed – Veer's favorite. A thought crossed her mind, and without thinking twice, she picked up the tiffin and made her way to Veer's cabin.

Veer looked up, surprised to see Amrit standing at his door with a tiffin in her hands. "Amrit? Tum yahan?" he asked, his eyes wide.

"Kaam chhodo thodi der ke liye, aur kuch khao," she said, walking in and placing the tiffin on his desk.
