Mia fluttered her eyes open at the sight of the sun shining directly in her face. She scrunched her face up, her eyes still closed as she pulled the covers over her face. Mia fell back asleep for about 10 minutes until she woke back up remembering where she was. She peeked from under the covers seeing floor the ceiling windows and skyscrapers outside. Then it clicked. She remembered she had slept over Cj's house.
Mia turned over to see the other half of the bed empty. She got out his bed, stretching, and started looking for her phone. She spotted her purse on his nightstand and reached inside pulling her phone out.
11:15 the time read Mia scrolled through her lock screen notifications to see 10 missed calls from Sahara and 2 missed calls from her mom.
The line trilled as she called her mom back
"Hello?" Her mom picked up "Hey mommy sorry for not letting you know last night but I had spent the night at Sahara's ho-" she rushed out "Oh yea I know she already texted me last night. I was just calling to ask you how this outfit looked" she started before an incoming FaceTime call came through for her
"Oh my goodness" Mia said shaking her head The call connected and her mom Ms. Nina turned around in the camera showing off her outfit.

Mia scrunched her face up. "Uh uh girl where is you going??"
Ms Nina kissed her teeth. "I'm going out tonight! Does it look good or not Mi?!" She said annoyed
"You too grown for me" Mia said shaking her head
"And issss" Ms Nina dragged. "You grown now I can do me without you being all up in my business!" She said sitting the phone down fixing her outfit.
"And being up at 11 AM trying on clothes is diabolical" Mia added
"Hating on ya own mama is diabolical" Ms Nina said smiling while she shook her head
"Whatever" Mia said rolling her eyes. "And which bum you going on a date with anyway?" She asked
Ms Nina smirked "That "bum" is ya daddy little girl" she said
Mia gasped. "Girl whattt?" She said confused.
Her parents got divorced when she was 15, but they'd been on and off since then. Her dad even got remarried a few years back but he'd always flirt with her mom, which led to his ex wife divorcing him. They had such good chemistry it just seemed like we're made for each other. They were just both Aquarius' so they both wanted to control each other.
"Yep girl he pulled up last night with flowers talking bout he want his family back" Ms Nina said shaking her head.
"I said Ok papi!" Ms Nina added as she stuck her tongue out.
