I'm running as fast as my legs will allow me. With each frantic turn, I'm scared me and Jeonghan will run into another one of Kun's men. Already the man behind us is catching up.

Fear chases through my body. I hate being chased; this was always Minghao's thing.

Hopefully, Minghao was able to use the short time we had and found something—anything that can incriminate Kun and Got7. But we didn't have enough time.

I scowl at the back of Jeonghan's head as he runs ahead of me, growing further away as he's a faster runner. Once we're out of this, I can't wait to lecture him on his failure as a break-in buddy. You don't just run ahead of the person you broke in with.

Though, maybe that's something he picked up from Minghao.

Jeonghan, a good five steps ahead of me, whirrs around the next corner.

Before I can reach the turn, someone grabs my arm, yanking me back and slapping their hand over my mouth, making it sting.

I go to bite down on the hand, but I'm slammed back, my head hitting the wall. A man I'm unfamiliar with is pinning me to the wall. Loose black hair falls over his face, and a smile that shakes me to my core lights his face.

Again, I'm stopped from biting his hand as he removes it, but I don't get a chance to scream before a knife takes its place, this time at my throat.

Pushing my head back, I gasp, eyes widening at the weapon. If I die here, in Kun's restaurant, I'm going to haunt him and Minghao beyond the grave.

"So, your Seventeen's new girl?" The man cocks his head to the side. His face is long and his eyes flash behind his hair, not crazed like Bambam's, but holding the same type of anarchy Jeonghan has. Though Jeonghan hasn't threatened my life—yet. If I wasn't with the most handsome man I've ever met, I might consider this man attractive. If I weren't with Mingyu, and if he weren't holding a knife to my throat. "No one mentioned how cute you are."

The only thing stopping me from reeling back is the wall, proving me immobile. My mind is scattered. I don't know what to say to try and convince him not to kill me or report me to Kun, though I doubt I'll be able to get out of that.

Jeonghan will never live this down.

"You're quieter than I thought you would be." The man shrugs, which shuffles the knife playing at my throat. He laughs lightly at my reaction. "Don't worry, I'm in control of this." He leans into me, and I try to move away but obviously fail. "You better listen if you don't want me to slice your pretty little throat," he whispers in my ear.

"Get off of me," I hiss through my teeth.

He eases off me, throwing his head back in a deeper laugh, but his blade stays in place, itching gently against my skin, threatening to tear through it. "So you are feisty. Bambam said so. Cute and gutsy, just my type."

Despite the fact he could kill me in a second, I grimace, disgusted at his words.

"Tell you what, promise to go on a date with me, and I'll let you go. I'm Ten, by the way."

"Well, Ten, I have a boyfriend. I don't think he would be a fan."

"Bet I'm better than him."

"Rah!" A yell sounds from the end of the hall. My eyes flit over just in time to see Jeonghan running my way, fist raised.

So, so dumb.

Ten grabs me, spinning around and pressing my back into him, now pushing the knife into my throat; it's sharp against my skin. I faintly feel blood starting to spill out. One miss slip, and I'm dead. My heart is pounding so hard I'm scared it'll launch me forward into my death.
