( 5 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨 ) Alice Merling had just got into a relationship with Parker Sterling. During this time Parker's parents were both separated and fought often. Alice would always try her best to help him, to save him. Alice would even try to talk to his parents, but it would just end up all the same. Parker started getting angry at Alice since she couldn't stop what was happening to him, and one day, when she was sleeping, he burnt her arm on a heater. She woke up screaming and crying. He whispered in her ear "If you don't fix this..I'll hurt you more." Alice was petrified and did everything she could. Parker's parents would always listen, nod, and then pretend like nothing ever happened even though Alice always tried. He would always continue to hurt her and duck tape her mouth. Alice would always hide her marks on her arms by wearing long sleeves and jackets, so nobody knew about what was going on. Parker would always tell her terrible things like "You can't escape." "Your weak." "If you tell anyone about this, 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮." One day, Parker called the police when his parents were fighting. The policemen checked the house and found Alice's blood with Parker's fingerprints on it. Parker was arrested and Alice's mother was always upset about why she didn't tell her. She spent years full of guilt that she didn't notice what was going on. Alice always reassured her mother that it wasn't her fault what happened. After Alice graduated high school, she decided to go into journalism in a college in Marseille, France, called the University Of Providence. She promised her mother she would call her mother everyday. Alice      was excited for new adventures in life.
