For those of you who've read Mute Trainer, this book is a lot different. It's mostly about just a kid on his journey to be the best. It's not as dark and story-heavy, much more lighthearted. However, this is part of a future little one universe thing, so if you want that, then I recommend reading TMT.
Chapter one: Humble Beginnings
Ash Ketchum was born in Galar, a town called Postwick. He lived a normal life, not special in any way. He had nice parents and a normal child. But two things made him different from the others.
Other kids his age in Galar were obsessed with the fairy, dragon, or fire types. The dark and ghost type was considered evil. People hated those who focused on the type, mostly the ones like gym leaders and elite four members.
Ash loved that type. He had no idea why. But he just loved them. So, one day in class, when he said he liked Ghost and Dark, it didn't go over well.
His personality was the opposite of someone who loved that type. He was talkative, loved helping, and was just all around a loveable guy.
Ash had friends, but none of them accepted that he loved Dark and Ghost types. Except for one person. Marnie is an introverted girl. She wanted to be a dark trainer too. She was a transfer from Spikemouth, a place people considered the worst town in Galar at
They hit it off immediately. The duo were best friends. Marnie was still introverted, but she was his best friend. Marnie was blunt and not very talkative.
When they were 8 years old, a new kid joined the school. He was Hop, the champion's younger brother. Naturally, he became the most popular kid in the school. Ash slowly became invisible, but he didn't mind as long as he had Marnie.
At 9, the duo attended a summer camp run by Magnolia. It was a seven-day camp, and the first day was catching. Ash and Marnie, along with the other campers, stood in front of the Professor.
Magnolia: Alright kids, today we're going to go pokemon hunting! Here's some pokeballs. Your mission is to catch one pokemon, and tomorrow we will study that pokemon with Pokédex. The pokemon you catch can also go with you on your journey! For Pokemon you do not know, then scan them with the dex!
Ash and Marnie ran quickly, and almost instantly Marnie found her Pokemon, a Morpeko. Marnie caught it instantly. She let it out after. The pokemon jumped on her shoulder, looking at her with interest.
Marnie: My name is Marnie. I want to become a dark type trainer. Would you like to join me?
Morpeko looked in her eyes and licked her cheek. Marnie smiled. Ash had a huge smile looking at their interaction.
Ash: That was adorable! I'm gonna go find mine!
Ash and Marnie looked around until they found a pokemon. It was a sword holding a sheath. The red cloth on the top was holding it, seemingly like a hand. The sword was blood red, eye blue. Ash scanned it with the dex.
Pokédex: Honedge: The sword Pokemon. A Ghost-Steel type. Honedge's soul once belonged to a person who was killed a long time ago by the sword that makes up Honedge's body. This Honedge is shiny. This pokemon has no trainer.
Honedge glanced at them, eyes fearful. Ash looked at it and put the ball away. He slowly walked towards her. The sword let him walk towards her. Honedge looked wary. A branch snapped behind him and a man came out. He had a mask on, all black clothing. He was brandishing a weapon that seemed to be a knife.
Man: Hey kid, give me that Pokemon! It belongs to me. Its ok, I won't hurt you.
Ash looked at the situation. He grabbed Honedge and ran. He slowly started losing energy, but the sword was amazed. This human was risking his life to save her, even though she was clearly sapping his energy way. Honedge tapped the ball, and he now was registered in Ash's Pokédex.
