After the breakfast, the whole Slytherin house, along with Professor Snape, was called common room the boys one side in the girls on the other.

The Slytherin common room had now transformed into an empty hall, which was perfect for demonstrations.

"The Yule ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since its inception," said Snape.

"On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-manned frivolity.

As representatives of the host school, I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward

and I mean this literally, because the Yule Ball, is first and foremost a dance."

Everyone was excited to hear about the ball, thus, they mumbled each other.

"Silence!"

They all went quiet once again.

"The house of Gordic Gryffindor had commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly 10 centuries," said Snape, throwing a sharp glance to the rest of the students.

"Also, we, as the house of Salazar Slytherin, had commanded the same respect as well."

"I will not have you in the course of a single evening, besmirching that name by behaving like babbling bumbling band of baboons," he added.

"If any of you have done it, I will take points from you, as punishment. Do not do so lightly."

There was a moment of silence between Snape and the students. He took a few steps forward,

"Inside every girl, a secret swan slumbers longing to burst often take flight.

Inside every boy, a lordly lion prepared to prance. Allow me to demonstrate."

"Miss Parkinson, Mister Malfoy, would you mind to help me in the demonstration?"

Without a single word, both of them stood up and joined Snape. Draco and Pansy held their left hands, getting ready for the dance.

"Mr. Malfoy, put your hand on Ms. Parkinson's waist," Snape commanded.

"Where?!"

"Her waist."

Draco had no choice but to follow Snape's commands.

"Mr. Goyle, please tune the music," said Snape, throwing a glance at Goyle.

As the music started playing, he demonstrated the steps to dance.

"1...2...3...1...2...3...

Mr. Malfoy, I believe that you've already mastered the waltz.

Do well to show all the students," said Snape coldly.

Then, Draco started doing the waltz with Pansy more nicely.

"All right. Now, the rest of you step ahead and practice for the ball."

Once Snape commanded, all students stood up, stepping ahead and did the waltz. Everyone, except (Y/n), got their partner for practicing easily.

(Y/n), on the other hand, was sitting alone in the corner of the room, trying to hide from Snape's sight. But it was useless, he saw her.

"Miss (Y/l/n), why aren't you practicing?"

"Do you want me to take points from you?"

"No, professor."

"Then, you may explain to me why," said Snape.
