Author's POV

The day passed quickly, and the doctor finally allowed Shivika to be discharged the next morning. Everyone was relieved. But Samar, with a stern look, gave strict instructions that no one tell Arjun that Shivika was okay.

After finishing all the formalities, Samar told everyone to head back home. He then walked towards Shivika's hospital room. She was sitting on the bed, wearing a simple kurta, and their eyes met for a moment before she rolled hers and looked away.

Without saying anything, Samar walked up to her, lifted her in his arms, and began walking out.

"Neeche utariye mujhe," Shivika said, her voice a mix of frustration and embarrassment. (Put me down,)

Ignoring her protests, Samar continued walking confidently, while everyone around them stared. Shivika, feeling self-conscious, buried her face in his chest, her shyness evident. Samar chuckled softly at her reaction.

They reached the car, and Samar gently placed her in the passenger seat before getting in himself. He started the car, and they drove off.

"Ghar ka rasta toh woh hai na?" Shivika asked, pointing ahead. (That’s the way home, right?)

"Ji rani sahiba" Samar replied, his voice teasing.  (Yes,)

"Toh hum kahaan ja rahe hain?" Shivika asked, confused. (Then where are we going?)

"Ek jagah, jahan hum kuch din sukoon se reh sakein" Samar answered softly. (To a place where we can stay peacefully for a few days,)

Shivika’s eyes widened in confusion. "Mujhe aapke saath kahin nahi jaana. Mujhe ghar jaana hai apne," she said, her voice tinged with irritation.
(I don’t want to go anywhere with you. I want to go home,)

"Haan, jaan, bilkul jaayenge. Lekin kuch din baad," Samar replied, reassuring her. (Yes, darling, we will. But in a few days,)

Shivika huffed in frustration and crossed her arms. Samar, sensing her mood, switched on the music, and the rest of the drive was spent in silence. After some time, the exhaustion from the past few days caught up with Shivika, and she drifted off to sleep, her fatigue finally overpowering her. Samar didn’t try to wake her; he understood she needed rest. He turned off the music to let her sleep peacefully.

Hours later, they reached their destination. As the car stopped, Shivika stirred awake.

"Pohoch gaye?" she asked, still groggy.  (Have we arrived?)

"Haan," Samar said softly, getting out of the car and opening the door for her. As she stepped out, he gently picked her up again and carried her inside.

An elderly woman greeted them warmly, her smile kind. Samar shivika straight to a bedroom and carefully placed her on the bed.

"Mujhe baat karni hai," Samar said, his voice low, full of concern.  (I need to talk,)

Shivika turned away, wiping a tear from her cheek. "Mujhe nahi karni," she replied, her voice trembling. (I don’t want to,)

"Shivika... tumne yeh kyun kiya?" Samar asked, gesturing to her injured hand, the sight of it making his heart ache. (Shivika... why did you do this?)

She didn’t respond, her eyes distant as she stared at the wall. Samar’s voice softened, almost desperate for answers.

"Batao mujhe," he said gently.
(Tell me,)
