"Hey girl!" My cheery bestfriend greets me as I reach my locker "hey!" I hug her "you did your math homework?" OK she may be cheery buy she doesn't do much school work "I knew you were gonna ask that" I open my bag "here" I hand her my math himework "thank you!" She runs off to math
"Hey lia" my other friend andi greets me as I close my locker "hey andi" I greet her and we start walking to history
"You heard brody text dumped marissa?" She asks me, she was always for gossip "she deserves it" I say "yea, always making him bow for her. She thinks the world revolves around her" she says as we walk into history "I know right? I mean everyone hates her why is she so popular?" I say as we sit down in our seats
"Cause the populars like her for her money" she grins "hey girls" my friend sage bounces over to us "hey sage" I wave she's andi's twin but they are completely different
"Did you guys see Leon this morning?" She asks and we shake our head no "why, what happen?" I ask tapping my pen "I need to talk to him" she sighs as the teacher slams the door shut
Ah lunch finally!
I walk over to my friends lunch in hand
"Hey guys!" I smile sitting down "what are you doing here?" I point to Daniel, our school quarterback. He's a nice guy, friends with everyone but he sometimes gets on my nerves also he's my brother "what? I can't hang with my sister and her friends?" He smirks "no you can't" I say simply taking bite of my beef Patty
"See-" he was cut off my Jackson running to our table "Lia, Daniel" he catches his breath "you need to go to the office. Like now!" He says and we both get up "what's wrong?" I ask "I'm just gonna say I'm really sorry" he says and walks off leaving us confused "OK?" Daniel looks at me "see you later guys" I wave to my friends and we walk to the office
As we walk in we see two police officers "what did you do?" I elbow him "nothing! I swear!" He says and I sigh
"Daniel and Thalia Jensen?" The first officer asks and we nod "I'm officer banks and this is officer martins" he says and shoots us a sorry look "you might wanna sit down" he gestures to the seats and we go sit down "kids" he takes a breath "your parents got in a car accident" he pauses and Daniel shoots up "what?!" He yells and my eyes start to sting with tears "they are alive but in very bad conditions" he finishes "I'm sorry" he adds "oh my god" a tear escapes "lia.." Daniel hugs me "can-can we go see them?" I ask my vision blurred but I see him nod and we get up and start walked out the school
We reach the hospital and I run out the car with Daniel not far behind
"Ben and Laura Jensen" I tell the receptionist "I'm sorry only family members can see them" she says "we'are their kids!" I yell as tears fill my eyes "oh I'm so sorry! Room 22" she says and I run
I run in the room and what I saw broke my heart. My mom and dad lying there with tubes and wires in them.
I let out a sob
"Lia.." Daniel says softly "mom..dad" I sob
"Baby girl" my mom days weekly
"Mom please don't leave us" I sob, tears falling freely down my face
"Baby girl stop crying, you are a strong girl" she smiles weekly and I let out another sob
"Tell me you're not gonna leave!" I cry out
"Its our time baby girl. We love you both" their heart monitors start to slow down "no! Mom! Dad! Don't leave us!" I yell but it was too late. A long beep rang through the room and doctors and nurses run in
"Nooo!!" I yell as they pull me out
"Lia it's OK" Daniel says softly as I cry in is shirt
"No it's not OK! Their gone! They left us! Its not OK!" I cry and he rubs my back
"Lia, they wouldn't want you to be crying Like this" he says softly.
I feel so weak. Why did this have to happen to me? Why did this have to happen to anyone?!
I just saw my parents die!
"Thalia and danile Jensen" a voice says "yes?" Daniel answers "I'm so sorry for your loss" the guys says "thank you" Daniel replys still running my back "I'm Mike-" he started but Daniel cut him off "are one if those Foster care people?" He asks "yes but you won't be going to Foster care" Mike says and I lift my head up
"What do mean?" I say wiping my tears "your mother told us that you will be staying with a close friend of hers. You will still be in this town just in a different house" he says "really?" I asked shocked "yes. Here's my card. I'll pick you up tomorrow. Stay strong" he hands Daniel the card and walks of
"It'll be OK lia" danile says as we enter the house "how can you be sure Danny?" I call him my nickname for him "cause they're watching us and they don't want to see us like this. We're strong we can get though this" he hugs me and I hug him back.
Next day
Last night we packed every important thing that meant something to me and Danny.
I hears the door knock and u went to answer it "hey Mike" I wave "hey Thalia, you ready?" He smiles and u see a truck on the drive way "yea I guess" I go back in the house and he follows
"Danny!" I yell for Daniel and he comes down stairs with the last box.
We pull up to the house and it looked like a mansion. I think it is a mansion.
We walk in and we we're greeted by a woman moms age
"Oh you're here! Hi!" She hugs us both "I'm Mary" she says and ushered us in
"I'm so sorry. Laura was a good woman" she says and I nod. Stay strong lia
She gave us a tour of the house and showed us our rooms.
I ended up falling asleep on the couch
Brody pov
I walk in the living room and see a girl sleeping on the couch
"Mom there's a girl here!" I yell out and my mom comes out
"Oh honey that's thalia, she and her brother Daniel are gonna be staying with us" I recognize those names
"Jensen?" I ask easing an eyebrow "yea how'd you know?" She smiles "I go to school with them. Why are they staying here?" I ask her "well their parents passed away" she looks to the ground and I instantly feel bad
"Oh.." I say as Daniel walks into the living room
"Oh hey man" he smiles. He seems happy
"Hey" I nod
"What you doing here?" He takes a seat at his sisters feet
"I live here" I laugh "really?" He grins and I nod
So this is the first chapter. I'm really sad now.
