you don't have to read this, but it helps visual and understand the story better!

so before you read anything else, i just want to put out a disclaimer. i am not and do not claim to be an author, i write purely for fun and find enjoyment in it. so, if the book isn't as well written as you'd hoped, then i'm very very sorry i try my best!! This is also the first book i have ever written or attempted and to write, so to whoever actually reads this, pls be easy on me!! i'm constantly re-writing certain things and fixing grammar mistakes to make it easier to read, and some things might not add up or make sense but that's why i'll be editing it for a while until i'm completely happy with it :) and my writing as as bad in my book as it is in this intro

also, i love music of all kinds so if i tag a song and its like super popular and overused, then a chappell roan song then some country song, then just bare with me.

now that being said, if there is also any mistakes about american football or the way it works, DONT COME AT ME!! i literally learned the rules ten minutes before deciding to write this, and i only wanted to write it bc of the song "the alchemy" by taylor swift.

now, onto more important stuff, i got the idea to make these notes from multiple creators of books that i loved, and it helped me envision the story more so yeah, this is just a little cast headcanon except i'm not gonna use pictures so that you can still picture the characters as you please, so keep in mind that this is all just how i envision my characters looking and you don't have to follow along with that!! and i'm only doing the important characters that'll be mentioned a lot or more than others.

Noah Miller: i picture him as like the blueprint of a white, american boy. so like, wavy/fluffy blonde hair, blue eyes, freckles on his nose, not tan but not pale skin, the whole thing. so, basically like Rudy Pankow in outerbanks maybe except slightly smaller framed because noah is definitely not too tall, like 5'8 or 5'10 at most.

Arthur and Sarah Miller: i lowk just see them as the parents from 'love, simon'.

Blake Matthews: idk how to explain how i see him, like all i can officially give you to work with is that he's latino and so fine that you wanna pass out in a way. like im thinking extra tan cause he's in the sun a lot, thick curly black hair, especially toned muscles, his height being like 6'0-6'2, dark brown eyes, a hopeless romantic to his core. like dream man basically.

Isabella and Aurora Matthews: i'm imaging isabella as like a shy, cutesie teenage girl. like ashley garcia, if anyone's seen that show. and for aurora, just like a very calm little kid. she's got the cute curls, obsessed with drawing, doesn't bother anyone, doesn't complain much, the whole thing.

Elisa Matthews: when i think of this woman, all i see is America Ferrera. that's it.

Michael Basset: literally the cutest boy who ever walked the planet like imagine walker scobell but with red hair yk?

Jessica Davids: jade west from victorious is the closest thing i have to describe her so i'm just gonna leave it at that.

Ethan Holland: like a tall, pale, lanky guy with basically black hair

Thomas Craig: Dominican, not skinny but not big either

Jake Johnson: picture him however you want but just know hes meant to be absolutely adorable

okay and onto houses because i have a hard time just picturing random houses in my head, so here's an idea of the houses that i think Noah and Blake live at.

Noah Miller: this boy is rich like rich rich, so when i think of his house i keep picturing the house off of 'home alone' for some reason except way more modern and beige gray yk because that's the vibe of his home-life.

Blake Matthews: i don't have a house to compare it to but like a small, yet comforting place yk. blake is nowhere near rich so he definitely lives in a cramped little house with his mom and sisters but it's still nice anyway!!

and finally, here's a quick rundown of football and how it works that i got from chat gpt

Football is a team sport where two teams compete to move an oval-shaped ball down a field to score points. Each team has 11 players on the field at a time. The main positions are:

1. The center: snaps the ball between their legs to the quarterback.
2. Quarterback: The leader who passes or runs the ball.
3. Running Back: Carries the ball and catches passes.
4. Wide Receiver: Catches passes from the quarterback.
5. Tight End: Blocks and catches passes.
6. Offensive Line: Blocks to protect the quarterback and create running lanes.
7. Defensive Line: Tries to tackle the quarterback or stop the run.
8. Linebacker: Defends against the run and pass.
9. Cornerback: Covers wide receivers.
10. Safety: Defends against deep passes and runs.
11. Kicker/Punter: Kicks field goals, 3 extra points, and punts.

In American football, teams can score points in the following ways:

1. Touchdown: Worth 6 points. Scored when a player carries the ball into the opponent's end zone or catches a pass in the end zone.

2. Extra Point: After a touchdown, the scoring team can attempt an extra point by kicking the ball through the goalposts for 1 point, or they can try for a 2-point conversion by running or passing into the end zone again.

3. Field Goal: Worth 3 points. Scored by kicking the ball through the opponent's goalposts.

4. Safety: Worth 2 points. Scored when the defense tackles an offensive player in their own end zone or the offensive team commits a penalty in their own end zone.
