*AS THIS IS MY FIRST BOOK IT WILL HAVE MASSIVE GAMMAR, PUNCUTATION AND SPELLING ERRORS. IM SO SORRY ILL EDIT THIS BOOK IN THE NEAR FUTURE. AND POSSIBLY MAYBE ADD MORE TO IT.*

Sweating—feeling my heart beat out of my chest—my sight growing, running through the destroyed, dirty kitchen. Seeing the earlier scene play again and again in my mind. Glass shards were thrown across the floor, my sandwich smeared on the fridge door. This place was like a war zone or a nightmare. Something I used to call home—no more—not after today. I heard the stomping of footsteps chasing after me, my mother pulling her strings around my helpless siblings—now zombies. My heart was trembling, I need to stop her somehow.

I heard my mother cackle, as if she is doing everyone here a favour—putting everyone out of their misery—but no... she is always her selfish self. My deadbeat father too. They're getting close, I must think of a way to get out of here. My head felt as if it is about to burst—to much is happening—yesterday was amazing hanging out with my friends... but today is just... insane! I quickly dash up the long and windy stairs. I am left to decide what to do, I hide it out or leave to the roof.

"You know this could all be over if you just stopped running! I'm doing you a favour really; your teenage life is miserable from the way I see it." My mother yelled, voice smooth as butter. I could hear the zombies marching up the steps—BOOM, BOOM—the grunting of my deathly green siblings, echoed through the house.

"Why are you doing this mother? What is your ideal outcome of all of this? My life, was perfectly fine before this!" I yelled back with a shake in my breath.

What is happening? I run as fast as I could to my brother's room. I needed to get myself some time.

"You wouldn't understand how much I need this Phoebe. This world is a nightmare already... and I'm just resetting it. Starting with our family," she screeched slightly angrier.

All I could think of was to move the bookcase in front of my brother's door. That would delay her by a couple minutes, right? I could hear her footsteps marching up the hallway, checking each room. The book case was extremely heavy. I felt as if it wouldn't move, and I wouldn't be able to getaway. Thump, thump her footsteps grew louder and louder as she got closer. My heart started to escalate like it was breaking through my chest.

Bang... Bang! "Open up! You can't get away from me that easily! Phoebe Jones!" Mother screamed a bloody murder. I heard the grunting of the zombies behind her. I wonder why they haven't eaten her yet—Was she one of them? So much to think about, so little time. It was now or never it opened the latch of the window. The rain drops collided with my head and shoulders-soaking my golden locks. Just my luck I thought. Why is God punishing me now of all days, why today? I saw the door shaking and cracking. That's my queue to leave.

The tin roof was slippery and shiny. How fun. I lifted my right leg through the window. BANG... BANG! Gracefully, not, I tumbled out of the window—slamming it shut. My legs shaking as I got up, was this really happening?

Squeak, squeak the sound my sneakers made against the tin roof, with each step I made. I was above the living room; the curtains were drawn open light pecking through the windows. SMASH! The familiar sound of glass shattered through the house. A grumbling figure was approaching closer below me. My dad. Trouble was bound to break loose now. With each step I took, the harder it was to keep quiet—without slipping.

One step, two step, three— "AHHH," I shrieked. Hitting the ground with a smash, my body engulfing in pain—on the other side of the backyard—my father turned sharply, eyes widened, a spark in his eyes changed igniting a fire. Rasing his right arm—beer bottle in hand—he charged towards me. Limping to the fence line my father came charging flinging the chipped beer bottle. Woosh! I felt a sharp stinging in my back sending my flying into the wooden fence, my sight blurred with stars in my eyes before blacking out.

"Aahhh," I screamed, as I hurled myself out of bed. That felt too real. My palms were sweaty, and my chest felt like it was being sat on by a hundred men. My head was aching. Feeling hungry it started walking downstairs, when I heard a shriek coming from my cat Ghost. I thought nothing of it. As I got to the door frame, I smelt a wasting smell of blood and rotting flesh. "What the?" I muttered at the sight of my grandmother devouring Ghost. I ducked around the corner back to that bottom of the stairs. Hitting my back against the wall. This can't be real, right? This doesn't make any sense. This is just like my nightmare I just had. I raised my left hand to pinch my right arm, "ow!" I cried. Definitely not dreaming.

What do I do, what do I do? Played on repeat in my head. Yesterday was just like any other day. Getting—never ending—homework from annoying teachers I was just hanging out with my friends—Amelia, and Jess. We were planning to go to the movies watch Despicable me 4. But know I don't know what's happening. Then it just clicked. My dream. My mother was behind all of this. But still why? Why reset something good.
