TW: Cursing

The blaring alarm Jiwon had set blasts in her ears and she sat up with a groan. Ruffling her messy bed hair, she glares down at her blanket. Fuck Lee Heeseung and his flirty words. Fuck Lee Heeseung and his pretty smile. Fuck Lee Heeseung and his bambi eyes. And lastly, fuck Lee Heeseung for invading her mind before she went to sleep. Grabbing her phone from her nightstand, Jiwon scrolls through the notifications and sees an email from her advisor asking to meet after her classes. Letting out a sigh, Jiwon gives herself a minute before getting off her bed to get ready and hopefully cover her deepening eye bags she's recently been having due to someone.

"Noona!"

Jiwon sighs at Jungwon's voice. I'm going, I'm going, Jiwon thought to herself. Grabbing her backpack and keys, Jiwon closes her door behind her and heads for the stairs. Walking down, Jiwon spots Jungwon but not their mom.

"Where's mom?" Jiwon asks, grabbing her shoes from the rack. Jiwon walks over to the couch and sits down to put on her shoes.

"She said she had to meet up with someone." Jungwon answers after swallowing the bites of his cereal. Huh, their mom never mentioned anything. Usually if their mom were to meet up with anyone, it would be Mrs. Jeon from next door.

"Noona, can Yeon ride with us today?" Jungwon asks. Before Jiwon can even open her mouth, the doorbell rings. Jiwon goes to open it and on the other side was none other than Jeon Yeonhee, their neighbor and Jungwon's childhood best friend. Jiwon shoots a glare at Jungwon before turning towards the girl.

"Hey, Yeonhee. Jungwon just mentioned that you're riding with us today." Jiwon steps aside to allow the girl in. Yeonhee spots Jungwon at the kitchen island and sends him a wave.

"Sorry for the trouble." Yeonhee apologizes towards Jiwom.

"No biggie." Jiwon says. Seeing as it was time to head out, the three left for the car. Jungwon decided to be a gentleman and let Yeonhee get shotgun. Once they got to campus, Jungwon and Yeonhee bid goodbye to Jiwon and headed for their lectures.

Throughout the day, Jiwon goes through her usual classes. At one point, she had met up with Haneul and Sunghoon for lunch. Now why is Sunghoon crashing her lunch date with her baby? After finishing up her last class for the day, Jiwon headed for the Academic Affairs office to meet with her advisor. Entering the office, Mrs. Yoon looks up from her laptop at Jiwon entering,

"Ah, Jiwon! Have a seat." She says, gesturing to the chair in front of her. Jiwon closes the door behind her and sits down. It is silent for a few minutes as Mrs. Yoon types on her laptop. Why was this nerve wrecking, Jiwon thought to herself.

"Alright. Thanks for coming in today. How's everything going with your classes?" Mrs. Yoon asks Jiwon.

"It's going okay, I guess. Just trying to keep up with all the assignments." Jiwon answers. Nodding, Mrs. Yoon types a few things on her laptop.

"I get that. Balancing classes can be tough. But that's actually part of why I wanted to talk to you. I've been reviewing your academic plan, and I noticed something that we should work on." Mrs. Yoon says. Jiwon furrows her eyebrows in worry. Oh no, was something wrong?

"Oh, is there a problem?" Jiwon asks.

"I wouldn't say 'problem' but I see you're not involved in many extracurricular activities. While your grades are solid, colleges and future employers also look for well-rounded experiences. Extracurriculars can really help showcase your interests, leadership skills, and teamwork abilities." Mrs. Yoon explains. Jiwon understands now. All Jiwon did was attend class, go to the shop, and then go home. She really didn't care about joining any clubs and doing anything more.

"I've been so focused on my studies that I didn't think they mattered as much." Jiwon answers.

"I understand, but extracurriculars are a crucial part of your college experience. They provide opportunities to explore new interests, build a network, and develop skills that you don't always get from the classroom. Plus, they can make your resume stand out." Mrs. Yoon continues. This made Jiwon think.

"Do you think it'll be a problem if I don't have them?" Jiwon wonders.

"It's not a problem now, but adding a few activities could definitely enhance your overall profile. Think of it this way: It's not just about doing more—it's about finding what excites you. Whether it's a club, volunteering, or even a part-time job, anything that shows you're engaged beyond academics can make a big difference." Mrs. Yoon answers and Jiwon nods.

"That makes sense," Jiwon says, "Although, I'm not sure what I should join or do." Pulling out a piece of paper, Mrs. Yoon slides it in front of Jiwon. Looking down, the paper had a list of all the clubs, sports, and activities that were available at HybeU.

"You don't have to dive into everything at once; just start with one or two activities that genuinely interest you and see how it goes." Mrs. Yoon advises.

"Thank you for the advice. I'll try to look into it." Jiwon says.

"No problem! Let me know how it goes, and if you need any help finding activities that fit your schedule, I'm here to help." With that, Jiwon bids goodbye to her advisor and leaves her office. Entering the elevator, Jiwon scans the paper and as the door closes, a hand pokes through, stopping the door. Looking up, Jiwon is faced with a grinning Heeseung. He enters the elevator and it closes behind him. Ignoring him, Jiwon continues to scan the paper. Ignore him, Jiwon. Ignore him.

"What are you looking at?" Heeseung asked, looking down at her paper, "Are you planning on joining a club?"

"I don't know." Jiwon says. So much for ignoring him. Heeseung raises an eyebrow.

"My advisor said that I should do some extracurriculars as they're a crucial part of my college experience." Jiwon repeated Mrs. Yoon's words. Heeseung leans against the wall of the elevator and shoves his hands into his pockets.

"Heh, maybe you can become the new manager of the hockey team." He jokingly suggests. The Hockey team? Didn't they already have a manager? The door to the elevator opens and Jiwon exits it, Heeseung following behind her.

"Yeah, no thanks."
