Yagyhavi's pov:

I looked at the person standing in front of me, a small smile on his face.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion—I didn't recognize him.

"Sorry, but do I know you?" I asked politely.

He smiled fully and lifted his right hand in front of me.

In his hand was something—no, not just something—a soft toy.

A Pikachu soft toy, to be exact.

My eyes widened in realization.

Pikachu!!!!!!

Mister Pikachu! Oh my god!

I looked at him for confirmation to know, what I'm thinking is right, and he nodded, as if to say yes.

I squealed in happiness and immediately rushed to hug him. He hugged me back, both of us smiling.

"Oh my God! What are you doing here after all these years?" I asked as I pulled back from the hug.

"I came back to India for some work, so I thought I'd drop by and meet you," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.

I playfully hit him on the shoulder.

"Mr. Pikachu, I'm not talking to you! You left for the USA and didn't even think about me."

"No calls, no messages. You completely forgot about your best friend the moment you left," I said, pouting dramatically.

"Oh, Shiddat, I'm sorry. I couldn't contact you because things got so hectic after I moved."

"New country, new city, new people, everything just happened so fast," he said, his tone apologetic.

I crossed my arms, pretending to stay mad.

"Hectic? Too hectic to even send a text? Wow, I see how much our friendship mattered to you," I teased, still pouting.

He sighed and smiled, "You don't understand, Shiddat. I used to think about you, about our friendship."

"The time we have spent together in our childhood as a friend."

"I wanted to reach out, but every time I tried, something came up."

"I know it sounds like an excuse, but I swear I missed you, too," he said, his voice softening.

I glanced at him, still pretending to be upset but slowly giving in.

"Missed me, huh? Then where's my proof?" I asked.

He grinned and held up the Pikachu toy again.

"This little guy has been with me since the day I left. He's been my reminder of you," he replied.

I couldn't help but smile at that.

"Okay, fine, you're forgiven... but only because you brought Pikachu back," I replied.

We both laughed.

"It's good to see you, Shiddat. You know, I've missed this—us, this city, everything," he replied softly, and for a moment, it felt like everything was back to the way it used to be when we were kids.

"And look at you now, all grown up! You used to look like a bag of potatoes," he teased, laughing.

I rolled my eyes and hit him on the shoulder again.
