Chapter Five: Gotta catch them all!
Bonnie: So how much pokemon are you going to catch?
Marnie: Well Ash wants 18 pokemon. Froakie and Snover were not part of that plan, but he doesn't care. Myself, well only 8. On this journey you can catch pokemon too.
Bonnie; What about the carry limit?
Marnie: Oh, just ignore that. As long as you only use six pokemon in a battle at the most no one will care. Almost every trainer does, and the ones that don't are goody two shoes.
Bonnie: How are we even going to get there? Which Region are you going to first?
Marnie: Ash had a coach back in the day. Names Mustard, he's a good man. First, we're going to pick up Kubfu at the Isle of Amour. To get to all the places we need to go, all we have to do is call a Flying Taxi. Those things are fast, faster than planes and even cheaper. Though planes are more comfortable. But first, Ash is going to catch a Murkrow.
Ash ran up to them, a smile. He'd been smiling a lot lately, all thanks to Marnie. He was really sad that his new friend Serena left him, and he also knew she'd hate him next time they met, But Marnie cheered him up by promising to go catch some pokemon. Bonnie knew then and Marnie had feelings for the trainer.
Ash: I found some Murkrow! Excalibur, can you help me communicate with them? I want you to tell them that I would like one to join my team, along with I will make them super strong!
Excalibur nodded and followed him into the forest. A couple minutes later around 10 Murkrows were staring at them. Excalibur started talking, and before long, a Murkrow stepped forward. Ash excitingly caught the bird, and seeing his joy reminded Bonnie of her own.
Murkrow: The Crooked One
Species: Darkness Pokemon: Female
Ability: Super Luck
Moves: Gust, Peck, Wing Attack, Assurance, Haze, Snarl, Roost, Aerial Ace
Egg moves: Brave Bird, Drill peck, Perish Song, Sky Attack. These egg moves have yet to be unlocked.
Bonnie: Ash, that Murkow's egg moves are crazy!
Marnie: (mutters) Of course they are. He's got Ash luck.
Ash: This is so cool! Murkow, you're going to be the strongest Honchkrow in the world! Now, to the Isle of Armour!
Marnie: Not so fast. First, we got to Paldea. I want to catch a Spriggateto.
Ash: That's a great Pokemon! I'm going to catch Charcedet and Denio!
Bonnie: Can I catch a Finnizein? It's so cute! And maybe a Gimmighoul?
Marnie: Of course you can. It'll be good for you to expand your roster from just Kalos pokemon.

When Marnie arrived at Paldea, she went to the academy, asking if it's ok for her to get a starter. The academy director, even though he knew she was a dark trainer, was very kind. Director Clavell happily gave her the cat, and even pointed them to the direction of a Gimmighoul tower.
Ash also asked him if it was possible to catch a Flutter Mane. Clavell gave him the pokeball for one, stating they'll need a strong trainer. She was a newly caught, and a newly arrived.
(Area Zero in this is different. People know of the Paradox Pokemon, and to get one must ask Geeta or Clavell)
