3rd person POV. december 8th, 2014
after tadao said hello to everyone in the room, he could tell that some of them didn't want him to be there. feeling anxious, he tugged on jeonghan's sleeve, who was standing next to him.
jeonghan, sensing the younger boy's discomfort, tried to ease the awkward tension in the room by asking seungcheol, "so, what time is our next practice?"
"it's at 9 p.m. we hope you'll be here tomorrow, tadao," seungcheol said, nodding toward tadao. tadao nodded back, listening, "okay, i... uh... have to go back to my studio, but i'll be here." he smiled softly, hoping to make his exit.
seungcheol nodded and waved tadao goodbye as the younger boy left the practice room. "so... what do you guys think about the new trainee?" seungcheol asked the others in the room.
"i don't see the point of having another member when we're so close to debut. i don't see any potential in him," jihoon said, crossing his arms. "yeah... we're really close already. it would be weird to add another member, especially since the staff already announced us as the final lineup," wonwoo added, standing next to jihoon.
but what the rest didn't know was that tadao was still at the door and heard jihoon's words. after hearing that, he finally left.
after those statements, there were some agreements and disagreements about the new trainee.
"it won't hurt to have another member, right? besides, we can be friends with the newbie!" dokyeom said cheerfully. "yeah, and maybe he's going to debut in a different group? maybe that's why the ceo wants us to help him prepare, just like we did!" hoshi agreed with seokmin.
and so, the disagreements and agreements continued... poor tadao.
during all the chaos, minghao was deep in thought, not really caring about the debate. "just who are you, tadao?" he mumbled to himself, with jun, who was standing nearby, looking at him confused but shrugging it off.
eventually, all of seventeen agreed to be strict with tadao, at least for now.
