It's been a week since I witnessed the unexpected growth of the white-haired boy in the dungeon, Bell Cranel.
No doubt, that boy has high potential to become a strong adventurer. Just the other night, he descended to the sixth floor of the dungeon, a place known for stronger monsters. The first to fourth floors of the dungeon are child's play compared to the challenges of the fifth to seventh floors.
The same boy who struggled against a bunch of kobolds on the second floor became capable enough to solo the sixth floor on the same day-a truly impressive feat.
According to Rose, any average adventurer would have taken at least half a year to descend to the sixth floor. Of course, she scolded me for venturing there, but I shrugged it off since I needed the money.
Curious as ever, I asked Syr about Bell Cranel, particularly what had happened in the tavern the other day. From her, I learned the reason behind the white-haired boy's emotional outburst.
It was because of Loki Familia, more specifically one of their executives-the werewolf who had a fight with me the other day. His name, according to Ryuu, is Bete.
That werewolf, Bete, badmouthed and humiliated Bell in the tavern in front of the entire Loki Familia, and more importantly, in front of the girl Bell admires or perhaps even loves-which made Bell appear pathetic.
Though Bete's words weren't directly aimed at Bell, the boy was certain they were discussing him. This led to his tears and subsequent dash out of the tavern.
Now I understand the reason behind his unexpected growth-a useful piece of information to have.
'Aiz Wallenstein, huh?' I mused.

I've been sticking to my usual workouts and sparring sessions with Ryuu over the past week. Today was no differen, I sparred with Ryuu and gained some new insights on my footwork.
Not only that, but Ryuu also provided me with essential information about every Familia in Orario. Over the past week, we've grown closer to the point where she started scolding me for not having a supporter.
Supporters are crucial for beginner adventurers, from fetching magic stones and alerting them to danger to even fighting when necessary-they provide multifaceted support.
Currently, I was on the 8th floor of the dungeon. The size and number of rooms had increased, and the length of the hallways between them had shortened. The ceiling had changed from the three to four meters of the floors above to nearly ten meters high.
Moss covered the brown-colored walls, and the ground beneath my feet had become a short grassy plain. The strong light from the phosphorescent crystals above was similar to sunlight. No new monsters appeared, but the ones from the 1st to 7th floors reappeared, albeit stronger.
'Even though Rose said not to venture onto these floors, it would only be a waste of time to slay the weak monsters on the first seven floors, which would earn me less,' I mused, my lean figure cloaked in a black overcoat as I followed the path.
This past week, I've been slaying monsters on the 6th and 7th floors, which earned me nearly 200,000 valis-not only from magic stones but also from monster drops. However, it wasn't enough to buy a decent house, so I had to extend my stay at Mama Mia's inn.
