Chapter 1 : "digital crush."

 **Izuku's POV**

Izuku Midoriya stared at his computer screen, his green eyes wide with a mixture of anxiety and curiosity. He had never considered online dating before. It felt like something older people did—adults who were too busy with work or who had given up on finding someone in real life. But here he was, a middle schooler, clicking through a profile setup on some half-hidden corner of the internet.

It was Kacchan's fault, really.

He wasn't even sure how the idea had formed. Maybe it was a desperate attempt to connect with someone who wasn't obsessed with quirks or heroes, someone who might just like him for him. Or maybe, just maybe, he wanted to experience what it was like to talk to someone without the weight of Katsuki Bakugou's expectations looming over him.

Izuku bit his lip as he filled out the profile, choosing a username that was obscure enough to hide his identity—"AllMightFan93." It wasn't clever, but it wasn't obvious either. He chose a generic avatar, just a silhouette of a boy, and skipped the part where it asked for his real name. That was the thing about these sites—you could be anyone.

As the screen prompted him to write a short bio, Izuku hesitated. What was he supposed to say? His fingers hovered over the keyboard, thoughts swirling.

*"Hi, I'm a kid who likes heroes and spends most of his time getting bullied by his childhood friend?"*

He shook his head, clearing away the negativity. Instead, he typed something simple: "Just a guy who likes comics and video games. Looking for someone to talk to."

It wasn't perfect, but it would do. After all, who would even notice him in this sea of profiles?

Izuku hit submit, his heart racing. He watched as his profile loaded into the database, becoming a part of the vast network of other lonely souls. He clicked through a few profiles, feeling too nervous to initiate a conversation with anyone. Most of them were older, anyway—high schoolers, maybe even some in college. The idea of talking to someone that much older made his stomach churn.

He was just about to log off when a notification popped up at the bottom of his screen: **"You have a new message from 'ExplosiveBoy'."**

Izuku blinked in surprise. It was the first time anyone had messaged him directly. He clicked on the notification, curiosity getting the better of him.

**ExplosiveBoy: "Hey. Your profile's kinda boring."**

Izuku's face flushed red with embarrassment. His fingers hovered over the keys, unsure of how to respond. After a moment, he typed back.

**AllMightFan93: "Sorry! I'm not really sure what to write..."**

He cringed at how awkward it sounded. But to his surprise, a reply came almost instantly.

**ExplosiveBoy: "Yeah, well, it's not like most people here are interesting anyway. Why're you on this site? You don't seem like the type."**

Izuku frowned at the screen. How could someone tell what type of person he was just from a few words? But before he could overthink it, he typed back.

**AllMightFan93: "I dunno. Just wanted to see if I could find someone to talk to."**

**ExplosiveBoy: "Talk to? Or date?"**
