The winds howled through the desolate landscape, carrying with it a sense of foreboding. In a world where chaos reigned, a wanted criminal by the name of Scar had become a legend, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. No prison could hold him, and those who dared to cross his path often met a swift and brutal end.
Scar had struck fear into the hearts of many. His power was unmatched, and his skill with was unparalleled. Yet, there was one person who seemed to have an odd connection with this feral man, a woman by the name of Rover. She alone could keep him in check, and an agreement had been forged between Jinshi, a deal that Scar would behave only if Rover watched over him.
Rover, a young woman with a strong and resilient spirit, found herself tasked with an extraordinary challenge. Rover comes back to her apartment, a temporary haven from the chaos without.
Scar, who had been awaiting her arrival, approached her with an air of anticipation. "So, you've returned," he said, his voice carrying a hint of challenge.
Rover met his gaze head-on, her expression unwavering. "I have. And I expect you to uphold your end of the bargain, Scar."
Scar's lips curled into a mischievous smile, his eyes glinting with a playful light. "Oh, don't worry, I will. But it doesn't mean we can't have a little fun, does it?"
From the moment she arrived, Scar seemed uncharacteristically obedient, almost tame, which Rover found peculiar. However, this newfound docility didn't extend to his penchant for dueling, as she soon discovered.
"Rover, fight me," Scar challenged, his eyes glittering with excitement.
A weary smile played on Rover's lips as she responded, "How many times have you asked me that today? Two? Three?"
"Fifth time, to be precise," Scar answered, his tone playful. "You're keeping count?"
"Maybe," Rover said, a hint of amusement creeping into her voice.
Scar's expression turned pleading. "Come on, please? Just one duel?"
"No," Rover stated firmly, crossing her arms.
Scar pouted, his features twisting into a mock display of disappointment. "You're no fun. If you won't fight me, I'll just challenge the first person I see."
Rover's eyes narrowed, and she drew her own sword, pointing it at Scar. "If it's a fight you want, I'll give you one."
Scar's eyes lit up.
As quickly as it had begun, Scar stepped back, his expression shifting to one of satisfaction. "That's more like it," he said, licking his lips.
Rover sheathed her sword, her expression unreadable. "Don't push your luck, Scar."
"Come on, Rover, fight me," Scar begged, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. "You know you want to."
Rover sighed, her patience wearing thin. "Scar, that's the fifth time today you've asked. Can't you think of anything else?"
Scar's expression turned thoughtful, a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes. "Oh? You want me to ask for something else? How about a kiss?"
Rover's eyes widened, and she took a step back, shaking her head. "No. Absolutely not."
Undeterred, Scar stepped forward, his presence overwhelming. "But there's a spark between us, I can feel it. I know you want to, Rover."
"You're delusional," Rover snapped, her tone sharp as she tried to ignore the nervous fluttering in her stomach.
Scar's gaze intensified, and in a swift movement, he closed the distance between them, his hand firmly grasping Rover's wrist. Before she could react, he pressed his lips against hers in a rough, passionate kiss.
Rover froze, her mind reeling from the sudden invasion. Then, fueled by a surge of anger, she brought her hand up, slapping Scar across the face.
Unfazed, Scar licked his lips, a feral smile stretching across his face. "That's more like it," he murmured, his gaze burning with desire.
Rover, her cheeks flushed, pushed Scar away, her heart racing. "Let go of me this instant!" she demanded, her voice laced with fury.
Scar, still smiling, released her, taking a step back. "I've been a loyal dog, following your every command. But I have needs, Rover. I want more."
"Don't get greedy, Scar," Rover warned, her voice carrying a threat. "Remember our deal. One wrong move, and I'll send you back to Jinshi. You'll lose your freedom."
Scar's expression softened, and he lowered his gaze, his voice turning imploring. "I know. I want to stay by your side. I'm sorry."
Rover, though still shaken by the turn of events, chose to let the matter go, for now. She turned and began to walk away, leaving Scar standing alone, his eyes fixed on her retreating figure.
As Rover walked away, her mind raced, trying to make sense of the tumult of emotions swirling within her. She glanced back, catching Scar's gaze, his eyes burning with an intensity that both intrigued and unnerved her. "I will make you mine, Rover," he vowed silently, his determination unwavering. "No matter what it takes."
Little did Rover know that Scar's words were more than just an empty promise, and that the path they were on would lead them both down a road of danger, desire, and discovery. A road from which there was no turning back.
