My body shivered as I felt Logan's intense gaze on me, scrutinizing my every move. Even from a distance, I could sense a swirl of emotions in his eyes, despite his blank expression.

Being in a public place offered me some relief. For a moment, I thought I was imagining things and looked away, rubbing my eyes. But when I looked back, Logan was no longer by his car—he was walking towards me.

He approached slowly, like a predator stalking its prey. I knew him well enough to recognize that my absence must have enraged him. The fear it stirred in me was mixed with a sense of anticipation. I braced myself for the worst. My brothers weren't around to help, and I couldn't risk Bella and Caitlyn getting involved in this mess, so I stayed silent, trying to appear calm while gripping my skirt tightly.

The day was bright and sunny, so when a shadow suddenly fell over me, I knew someone was standing next to my bench.

Mustering up the courage, I looked up.

Meeting Logan's eyes made my heart race with fear.  "Baby girl," he said, his expression stoic. My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. His use of that nickname reminded me of the pain he had caused me last time, and how I had been manipulated into thinking what we had was acceptable.

"Logan," I managed to whisper, but my voice caught in my throat.

"Do you need a lift home?" he asked, surprising me. I hadn't expected his first words after almost a month apart to be an offer for a ride.

I swallowed hard, feeling overwhelmed. I couldn't ignore how my heart fluttered at his familiar voice and nickname. I had longed to see him for weeks, and now he was here. It felt insane.

"No, thank you. My friends have me covered," I said quietly, glancing hopefully towards Caitlyn and Bella.

"Come with me," he said calmly, though I knew better than to underestimate the storm behind his calm demeanor.

"Please don't," I begged. I thought that three weeks away from him had made me stronger, but the moment I heard his voice, I felt myself crumble.

"Come with me," he repeated, his voice now a low growl.

Panic surged through me, and I took deep breaths, recalling what my mom had told me to do during panic attacks. Despite my inner turmoil and the urge to flee and tell Bella and Caitlyn what was happening, I found myself standing up. Logan's gaze followed my every move, and as soon as I was on my feet, his hand gripped mine, pulling me toward his car.

Hi there,

This will be a rewritten version of Dark Love. Some of the chapters will look entirely rewritten (like Chapter 1), and others will be completely the same, except for some spelling, grammatical, structural, tense, and punctuation edits. In other cases, I changed dialogue and/ or Sera's thoughts to make the writing style seem more mature and less cringe.

The point of this rewritten version is to get a step closer to publishing this book on Amazon! That and the fact that the first half of the original is very poorly written. I wrote the first half when I was 17-19 years old, and you can clearly tell.

Thank you and enjoy x
