“Good morning everyone, it is to inform all the students of class 12th, of all streams that they are requested to gather in the auditorium after recess. Thank you.” The monotonous voice announced over the speaker connected in each classroom and hallways.

“What might it be?” “Another event?” “Maybe about tests?” “Can be about pre-boards!” “So early!?” Everyone started to gossip as a reaction but soon got silenced by Mehta sir. “Focus on the board, young fellas!” He commanded.

“Oye Akshu!” Manav whispered. ‘Wtf! Akshu?’ I cringed. “Abee bhai, sun le zara!” He nudged my arm to draw my attention towards him. “Pehli baat yeh Akshu matt bula and dusri, han bol kya hua?” I whispered back.

(First of all, don't call me Akshu and second, yes tell me what happened?)

“Look outside the window, I suppose they might declare a half day today due to the rainy weather.” He summarized.

“Maybe. It's good for me, I don't like rain anyways. So much chip chip.” I said with a scrunched nose. “Dramebaaz!” He replied as I shrugged and got back to studying.

“Rohi, lagta hai aaj mast baarish hone wali hai!” Yukti cheered while clapping her hands

“Rohi, lagta hai aaj mast baarish hone wali hai!” Yukti cheered while clapping her hands. “Han!! Dekh na kala badal, thandi hawa aur upar se aaj hum scooty mein bhi aayen hain!” I added, with equal amount of excitement as we walked in the school ground.

(Rohi, it seems like it's gonna rain today!

Yes!! Look at the dark clouds, cool wind and above that we have also come in scooty.)

We would have been inside our classroom but thankfully Ishika ma'am gave us a free period and allowed us to roam around to enjoy the weather.

“Didi, Didi, Suno na.” A kid approached us with a bunch of roses in her hand. “Han, kya hua?” I asked, bending to her level. “Can you please give this to him?” She asked, pointing her finger in the direction of Yash.

“Heinn? Yash ko? Kyun!?” Yukti questioned, joining our conversation. “Beta, abhi Rakhi ko bohot time hai.” I added as she giggled and said, “Han par ‘unka’ birthday toh aaj he hai na.” She hid her face, seemingly shy, upon the mention of Yash's name.
