Pre-Circus

"Finally! Whew!" Ned panted as he wiped the sweat from his forward, admiring his finished song. "It's ready to go out to the public. I'll finally get truly recognized for my talent."

A tall, lean built man opened the door to his room. "Ned, is your song almost done?"

"Even better dad. It's done!" Ned exclaimed, his eyes bright. "My hard work will pay off!"

"Amazing son. Just send it over to me and the production company will receive it. We'll be even richer than we are now, not like that means a lot." Mr. Flames observed with a smug grin.

"You can just put it on YouTube for now, see how many views it gets starting out."

Ned nodded, turning back to his computer smiling ear to ear while he moves his mouse to the browser.

In excitement, he rushes to youtube.com and uploads his first song, unfortunately basic for now. It lacked a music video of any kind, or any interesting artist to collaborate with, but it was simply a product of his hard work in the form of song with a simple cover. Circus.

He pressed the Upload button with a swift click of his mouse and he shook with excitement, looking forward to his future in music. But there's no way he'd get much traction so quickly. He pulled out his phone to pass the time, uploading the news to his fresh Instagram and Twitter accounts, two empty slates with zero followers and a handful of posts.

Suddenly, just in the hour after the upload, he looked up at the sound of a notification, and gasped when he read it. One like already- and even a comment!!

Of course! He thought, The rewards for my outstanding skills are already showing!

As he was in deep thought, before anything else came to mind, he ran to the comment section. A nice, meaningful comment from someone named "3Drinkz."

"Hey man, love the opening single you have here! It's an amazing start to something I can tell is gonna be amazing. I'm just a starting out musician as well. Hope I get to see both our careers flourish."

Hooray!! What an amazing positive comment! Ned thought about it, maybe I should check out his songs too,  for inspiration and even just to repay the favor.

Ned clicked on the profile of this mysterious 3Drinkz and found a variety of songs with various names. However, they all seemed the same popularity-wise. Just a couple hundreds of views on each, the highest being a single thousand. Even the likes weren't very plentiful.

He decided to spread the support around and places a similar comment to his under his latest song being just a day before.

Unable to focus on anything else, Ned could barely leave his computer, checking his notifications every minute or two. With the help of his father's company, he appeared to have significantly better luck with his videos, getting around 3,000 views on the video alone and many likes on the video and his posts online. He would just sit back and watch the support roll in until he noticed a different notification— A direct message.

Let's see here...

From 3Drinkz?!
