Hallway- Ayanoji POV

I was walking through a hallway when President Horikita approached me. Tachibana-Senpai was walking next to him as they came to a stop in front of me.

"Class 1C withdrew their complaint. Against my better judgement, I appeased their request."

"Did they? What a strange world we live in. I guess miracles do exist."

"You expect me to believe you had nothing to do with the result of this trial?"

"You can believe whatever you want. I'm not the one who sealed our victory."

"You're talking about Suzune but I don't believe it. Her mind doesn't work that way."

Tachibana Senpai seemed intrigued by our conversation.

"What do you mean by that?"

"You think I wouldn't be able to find out about your little plan? Using cameras to deceive them into thinking they'd already been caught?"

Tachibana showed a look of surprise.

"It was your sister that came up with that plan."

"Hm... No signs of you lying. Interesting. It seems she's shown some improvement though I'm sure you had something to do with this situation. Let me ask you. Why did you participate in the trial?"

"No reason really."

"This plan Suzune came up with. You must have pushed her in that direction. Ayanokoji. Was this your way of proving Karuizawa wasn't a liar? If so then well done. You've proven your point well."

"You give me far too much credit."

President Horikita looked to Tachibana-Senpai.

"Tachibana. There is an open secretary position under Nagumo right?"

"Yes. Vice President Nagumo has not found a secretary yet."

'Hm. She's forcing professionalism?'

"Ayanokoji. Say the word and the position is yours."

'His intentions are not that I join as my job description. He intends to use me as an informant. Is there bad blood between him and Vice President Nagumo?'

Tachibana looked to him in surprise.

"President. Are you serious? You're going to assign him to Miyabi?"

'Miyabi? That's a touch personal. Hm... what exactly is their relationship?'

"Do you object?"

He looked at her.

"No. It's just... there is an application and interview process before you can make these decisions."

"Not necessary."

I spoke up.

"I refuse. I don't like to put in more effort than necessary and The Student Council is far too much work. I intend to live a normal life at this school."

Tachibana looked at me with a face of disgust.

'Her face says it all. She thinks I'm lazy. Well... from her perspective I guess that would be obvious. She must get along quite well with President Horikita then. He seems like the hard-working and disciplined type after all.'
