It's-a me, your author, Weepingjellygirl!  Real fast, before we get into this, I wanted to let you guys know that I revised (lightly) some of the prior chapters.  My writing style has changed alot since I first started this fic quite a few months ago now as well as my vision for how this fic will evolve as we go, so I went back through the earliest chapters (1-5) and tried to fix grammar, make it easier to read and comment since I didn't know alot about Wattpad when I first started, as well as flesh out some details I'd left rather barren and glossed over at first.  I intend to do the same with the chapters up to the date (Or atleast double check that it looks good), I just really wanted to go ahead and get this chapter out since it's been ready for about a week now and just needed to be edited.

If you're the type to reread stories, I'd love to know what you think of the improvements!  Wattpad in particular was really finicky about editing, atleast on the phone, so I'm hoping it's good...

With that being said, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Well isn't this just lovely, Vince thought sarcastically, trying to keep his shivering to a minimum as he grew adjusted to the lack of a heat source beside him. Of course Rody would get emotional and leave, the man had seemed more nervous about this visit than even Vincent. Typical.

After Rody had gotten upset and ran outside, 'Pauline' apologized to Vincent profusely before presumably going to talk to her son. Vincent merely raised an eyebrow in answer, amazed she would bother apologizing to him at all.

That left just Vincent and the quiet, intimidating man across from him.

Truthfully, he had no desire to break the tense silence that remained in the absence of the two chattier people. It was enough that he'd come by today at all and had been on his best behavior, even after discovering that despite his wishes one of them knew who he was. And that little bubble of panic he'd been suppressing had stayed in the background of his mind through every interaction since.

So if this man wanted to do nothing more than stare at him and sit here quietly, then that was just fine by him.

Of course, as always, things never went how he hoped. Just as Vincent had begun idly examining his nails, frowning and cleaning any dirt he found underneath them, Armand spoke. "What are your intentions with my son?" he asked simply. His voice wasn't angry or cold, just brusque, something Vincent understood.

It made him more comfortable with dropping the mask for a moment. "I don't have any particular 'intentions'. We're simply dating," he stated dryly, not bothering to hide that he considered this little interrogation to be a waste of his time.

Armand frowned at that, leaning forward on his elbows. "... A rude one, aren't you? Normally, Rody brings home sweeter, more considerate ladies."

Vincent scoffed and gave him a sardonic smirk. "Well, normally that's the case, I'm sure. Too bad I'm not sweet nor a lady," he clapped back, rolling his eyes.

Armand's expression never changed, even as he exhaled deeply. "So it would seem."

The two sat in relative silence for a moment, long enough for Vincent to glance at the front door. Does he intend to just leave me in here with his father until one of us breaks? Vincent groused, a scowl overtaking his features. Then again, not everyone practiced leaving people in rooms with things they hate until they learned to get over it.

That was a teaching method reserved for his mother.

"Putting aside the complications that come with you being a man, do you care for him?" Armand asked suddenly, jarring Vincent from his thoughts.
