3 years later
After the break up with Roberto and finding out that I was having his child I decided to keep him away from my daughter and my life. Once my baby was born I named her Leticia and she is now three years old and I have told her about her father and how he was when we were together but I kept some information from her for her safety but I gave her enough information so she can be aware that her father was someone to stay clear from but not have resentment against him. Once she asked me if she could visit him but I told her that once she is old enough she could freely look for him and chose to have a relationship with him. I explained to her that it's not the right moment to meet him since I lost all contact with him and his entire family but she understood.
Once I was able to get on my own feet I ended up working for this company called Mayflower Co. it was a makeup company and I was one of the company higher ups I have been working at this company for three years now and it was hard work to get to where I am right now. I supervise the warehouses and making sure that the products are being placed in the proper shelves and pulling out the product to send to the malls where we have our stations. I got an email saying that the CEO's son is going to be taking over the company next week and he is going to be part of the supervisor meeting to announce that the son is going to take over the company.
I am not pleased for the change that is going to happen in the company. I have heard rumors that the CEO's son is a pain in the ass but I hope i don't have to deal with it. For me to get ready to go to work and drop my daughter off at daycare, I get up at 6 am: I get dressed, make the bed, then head down to make breakfast for me and Leticia, 7 am: I wake up Leticia, help her get dressed, do her hair, then we head to the dinning table and we start to eat our breakfast, 7:30 am: I get my brief case and Leticia backpack ready and I leave it by the door , 8 am: we leave the house then we head to the car by 8:30 we arrived at Letty's daycare and I drop her off to her class then I arrived to work at 9.
Once I got to my office I saw Angel sitting in my chair watching Tick Tok on her phone. I wanted to scare her but I failed because she saw me and started laughing. She said " nice try girl you know you can't pull a fast one on me when are you going to learn Tina. I just laugh because I knew it was true and she got up from my chair and sat on the other chairs that are around my desk. Once I got situated at my desk Angel looked like she was dying to tell me the gossip that is going on around the office since Friday of last week since I was off.
She started saying " I heard that Stacy is going around again with messing with the other supervisors and that she supposedly stayed the night with Rogelio Martinez last weekend and now she is trying to get to the CEO's son's pants but I doubt that he would fall for her traps" then she continues saying that " I heard around the office that the CEO's son is a cold hearted bastard and he only lets his best friend to be near him and supposedly they meet when they were in high school but there was no love interest or did they?" I was silent while was ranting.
I looked at her and she had a look of disgust like talking about the CEO son is something that is unspoken about and I kinda secretly feel repulsive towards her body language and it got me thinking about mine and my best friend Oscar friendship because the way she was saying about the CEO son's high school days and how he met his best friend and its exactly how me and him met. I hope he is doing great and I haven't talked to him for a good while. He has been the one that helped me to get back unto my feet and help me get work at the Mayflower co. as a stocker and later I slowly was climbing the status ladder then I was promoted as the supervisor of the warehouses of the company.
Angel brought me out of my thoughts by saying " guess what the CEO son is going to be at the meeting next week and his father is going to announce that his son is going to be taking over the company " she said with annoyance in her voice because she doesn't want to be bossed around by a man that seems to be cold hearted but I personally dread that his son is taking over but the thing that I hate the most is sitting in the boring meetings because half of the time they are discussing about budgets, new products that need to be in the shelves of the warehouses and in the malls at a certain date , changing shift hours etc.
After our conversion Angel left because she got a call from the HR department I guess something must have happen if the they need the supervisor of HR in the room so she leaves and I start to open up spread sheets that the warehouses are sending of the products that we have in stock and out of stock then I get the sale revenues of the malls that we ship our product to see what was sold out and what needs to be restocked which was boring work and I hated because I was terrible at numbers but some how I managed to get the right numbers every time we have a shipped out every day for the mall.
Finally, the day was done and I was getting everything ready for the rest of the week and then I went to pick up Letty from daycare and I was debating if I should cook or go out to eat tonight but once I got the daycare I got Letty then we got to the car then headed home because I decided to make some lentils, black beans and white rice with corn.
