A half hour later, Thranduil has found his groove again, his thoughts pouring onto empty parchment with ease, he resumed writing his letter to Celeborn. Though awhile later, he was interrupted once again by a knock on the door. In came his trusted elven guard.
'My lord?'
He recognized the voice of his guard without so much as raising his head. 'What is it Lorien?'
'My apologies for interrupting my lord, but there is someone here to see you.'
'As you can see clearly Lorien, I am a bit preoccupied at the moment.'
'Too preoccupied even for me?' came a humoured voice that had his head popping up quickly to make sure he hadn't misheard that voice.
That voice..
To his stunned recognition, he hadn't been mistaken. The handsome prince came strolling onto his desk dressed in his signature green and brown attire. A genuine smile flashed across the king's face. Legolas was smiling too, the tenderness in his similar blue eyes filled the king's heart with warmth. They were compassionate and inviting, more than he could ever have hoped. He rose from his chair with urgency.
Both father and son stepped forward at the same time, welcoming each other in a warm embrace. Seeing his son now, cleared his mind of the fog that has began to consume it. He is glad Legolas is back from his meeting with The Fellowship in Rivendell.
