Aurora's pov

"My dear daughter what a pleasant surprise it is to see you" Michael smiled widely with his arms open.
I stiffened when he embraced me in a hug.

The man whom I thought I tried to escape is finally in front of me acting as if nothing happened as if he never abused and tortured me.

I'm so excited to see you my dear child. His smile was fake and so was his words.
Who does he think he's trying to fool?
I could see beneath this facade of his, his seething and wishes nothing more than to unleash his terror on me for running away from the pack.

Damien abruptly shoved Michael away from me and stood in front of me.

Michael scowled. "You're Damien right? The one who was banished by his older brother. You're him, aren't you?" Michael asked narrowing his eyes at Damien.

Banished? Why was Damien banished? What did he do?
Everyone seems to know a lot about Roman and his family except for me, his mate.

Damien's shoulders tensed, a low growl left his lips.
"If I remember clearly Aurora is no longer your daughter, you tortured and abused her, you turned her into a slave and now you claim she's your child?" Damien shot back.

"That's absurd!" Michael snarled balling his fist at his side.
Damien scoffed. "So you're going to deny mistreating Aurora?"

From the corner of my eye I saw Roman standing on top of the stairs watching us curiously.

Why isn't he here? Protecting me from Michael? Instead he's simply standing over there with his hands shoved into his pants pocket and observing us.

Roman's pov

After having a word with James regarding Michael and the rogues I sauntered down the stairs and halted in my tracks as I took in the scene in front of me.

Michael wrapped his arms around Aurora hugging her and Damien shoves him aside.

I crossed my arms and leaned against the railing observing the scene. I knew Aurora saw me but I pretended as if she didn't.

She's so innocent and pure she has no idea what a heartless monster I am. She has no idea what I had done.

My blood boiled when Brayden humiliated her, calling her a slut and wanting her. I could no longer hold my anger, he provoked me and at that moment I wanted nothing more than to rip his head out.

She doesn't deserve this, she needs to know but how will she react? When she finds out. I can't risk losing her. She's the most important person in my life and she has no idea how much I care about her.

What's bothering me is why Damien is suddenly concerned about her?

"I have no idea what you are talking about even if I did torture her after all I have the right because she's my daughter and I can do anything I want to her" Michael yelled.

He still think he can he do whatever he wants with her?
Over my dead body! If he happens to even lay just a finger on her I'd shred him apart.

"I'd very much like to see you try" I growled as I sauntered down the stairs with my gaze hardened on Michael.

Michael smirked clasping his arms behind his body and began pacing the room.
"I see what's going on here. He snickered, his eyes darting from my mate to Damien and then me.
My daughter has got you both wrapped around her little finger"

"Damien, you're obviously smitten by my daughter anyway who wouldn't be? He chuckled.
Aurora is indeed a beauty and she's quite charming that would have any man falling at her feet.
Even a fool could see that you're inlove with your brothers mate!" Michael claimed.

Could he be right? After what I had done to Damien he'd surely want to get back at me but Aurora isn't like that, she would never betray me.

That's ridiculous! Damien spat.

Is it? Michael mused moving in front of Damien and crossing his arms.

"I don't harbor such feelings for Aurora nor will I ever. She belongs to Roman and him only!" Damien stated.

I wish I could believe him but he's lying and anyone would be able to see right through it. Since Damien arrived he's always been asking questions about her and I've seen the way he looks at her that makes me want to gorge out his eyeballs.

Michael let out a deep chuckle as he began pacing the room once again. He stopped and gave me a once over look and let out another chuckle.

Has he completely lost his marbles or is trying to provoke me. Which one is it?
I so want to knock his teeth off but I have to restrain myself from killing him. I've already caused a scene here and ruined the event. I certainly don't want to ruin it anymore by killing this scum.

"I guess history is repeating itself but this time differently. You Damien lost your mate to your brother, didn't you?" He implored.

"Do not speak of her!" Damien growled yanking Michael by the collar of his shirt.
Michael snorted shoving Damien's hands away from him.

Aurora my child the man who claims to be your mate is hiding lots of secrets, secrets that are- before he could speak further I wrapped my fingers around his throat, lifting him onto the air.

I could easily kill you, you're death would bring me nothing but pleasure. I sneered applying a little more pressure around his neck.
Michael's face paled as he began to struggle under my grip.

Let him go! Aurora yelled.

Why did she stop me? Wasn't this what she wanted? For him to be dead after everything he's done to her?

I narrowed my eyes at her. Do you not want this? I growled, my canines now out on full display.

No!

"It's not worth it Roman. Let him go" Cade said squeezing my shoulder.
I understand your pain but killing him isn't going to bring them back or her.

He maybe right killing Michael isn't going to bring back my parents or my sister. I loosen my grip on Michael he slumps down on the ground gasping for air.

I need to get out of here and clear my mind before I completely loose it that I might end up killing someone in here and that might be either Michael or Damien.
Before I storm out of the room my eyes dart to Aurora.
She looks lost and afraid. If only she finds out she will hate me for the rest of her life.

"Cade take Aurora home. I need sometime to clear my head" I said as I stormed out.

Cade is the only person who I can trust, I trust him with my life and my mate. He's my childhood friend we did everything together and he ended up being mated to my sister.
