The room was shrouded in darkness, its oppressive silence broken only by the faint echo of Agastya's footsteps. He paced back and forth, the sound of his steps reverberating off the walls.
His hands were tangled in his hair, a clear sign of his growing frustration. The tension in the room was palpable, the air thick with unspoken words and simmering emotions.
"You don't own me, do you understand?"
Meghna's voice cut through the silence, sharp and defiant.
He turned towards her, his dark eyes locking onto hers, and strode forward, closing the distance between them.
"What did you just say?"
He demanded, his voice low and edged with a hint of danger.
"I said you don't own me, and you never will,"
She replied, her gaze unwavering as she met his stare head-on. For the first time, there was no trace of fear in her eyes.
A dark chuckle escaped his lips as he noticed the defiant spark in her eyes.
"I'm beginning to like this fearless version of you, Sweetheart,"
Agastya murmured, his voice laced with a dangerous amusement
"I always hated that timid version of you," he continued, his tone dripping with satisfaction. "But this spark in your eyes... I'm loving it."
Meghna looked at him with disgust in her eyes.
"You are a fucking liar,"
She shot back.
"You lie to everyone about your family. You always tell me to show loyalty in this marriage, but where is your loyalty?"
"Oh, so now my wife wants to talk about marriage and loyalty,"
He retorted, his voice laced with sarcasm.
"The one who has never respected this relationship."
"Because I never wanted to marry you," Meghna retorted, her voice filled with frustration. "I hate your controlling nature. I can't live like this."
In a swift motion, Agastya grabbed her waist and pulled her close, his grip firm and unyielding. Leaning in, he whispered softly but menacingly into her ear,
"But now, you have no choice but to live with a controlling man like me for the rest of your life."
His voice dropped lower, thick with a chilling authority, "Today, I only took five lives for you. Just wait and see how many more I'll take."
