Everything was a mess. The scenario, the timing, the dressing room-
So was he of course, but he wasn't exactly up to commenting on that as bigger problems were currently threatening to topple him over just that little bit more than he needed right now.
Damien Haas, better known as Smosh's "Damien," sighed heavily as he surveyed the disarray he'd made as he'd searched for not only his costume pieces, but a solution to his predicament, that being his pregnancy, which he had been trying desperately to keep hidden from the Smosh office and his casual hookup Shayne Topp, was beginning to show.
Looking down, he swallowed hard as his belly seemed to protrude awkwardly from the tight-fitting navy shirt Wardrobe had provided for him to play Leon Kennedy, his pants threatening to split at the seams with each movement and the shoulder holster someone handed him though the door at the last second becoming a crude frame.
It was obvious that the situation was becoming untenable and it fucking sucked. He had been in denial of course, tugging and pulling at the buttons and zippers for what felt like hours, but it was no use. He knew someone would notice. They wouldn't have any choice should he emerge like this. Time was running out though, and if he didn't fix it soon, someone was bound to come into the dressing room and discover the truth.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching the door before they suddenly left again, making him hold his breath. He glanced outside and found Shayne, who was laughing and joking with Courtney in the corner nearby, his heart immeditlyu calming despite his slight panic. They seemed oblivious to the predicament Damien was in and that was a good thing. The last thing he wanted was to hurt either of them.
Eventually, as Daimen continued to struggle with trying (and failing) to get the costume to work, he could hear the muffled sound of the outside door swinging open, revealing the familiar sound of Ian Hecox as he paraded in. "Hey guys, are you ready to rock this skit?"
Boss man was here, he couldn't delay going out there any longer. Shit.
Quickly, he took the opportunity to adjust his costume once more. If he could just get the pants over....yes! The pants finally went over his waist, pulling taut across his belly, but it hid it enough. He, of course, couldn't take a breath without it feeling like a vice, but he didn't care. The secret was still safe, for now. Shaking himself off, he quietly stepped out of the dressing room, trying to appear confident and unaffected.
The rest of the crew was already assembled on set, eager to begin. Amanda looked amazing in her Lady Dimitrescu and he remembers saying so, but as he walked over to his starting place on set, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt and also, a more deep feeling of terror.
There was no denying it anymore; he only had so much time left. As much as he wanted to freak out, he couldn't, not right this second. He had to be professional. They had a skit to film.
