Mum was driving me to Downey Park to try out for a QCNA team on early Sunday morning. I was so nervous. This is my dream. This is my destiny. I wanted this more than anyone else.
I walked up to a table and said my name. They gave me a number and wrote it on my leg.
While everyone else was getting their number, I was talking to my friend Abi. We both adore netball. We just chatted and chatted and chatted for ever until the manager of QCNA finally introduced the so called " team" of QCNA. After all of that junk, we got right into games. I wanted to play shooter but I very rarely got it in. And so I was put into centre court. I played so much better in that position. I needed to get into the "A" team.We had a break and did some drills. I was getting the hang of the drills and did quite well.
We played more games and did more drills until early afternoon and were able to LEAVE. LEAVE, LEAVE, LEAVE. I HATE that word!!! I will never LEAVE netball!!!
