Suddenly I heard gunshots. "Damn we're screwed" I said. This is actually my SECOND school shooting. I mean, I live in the U.S. so this shouldn't really be a surprise. The first time I witnessed a school shooting was when I was in 3rd grade. Now I'm in 7th grade, witnessing another one. Suddenly Mr. Naro told us to calm down and RETURNED TO HIS YAPPING SESSION!!!!!! WTF!!!!! Of course, no one listened. We all started barricading the door and the windows. Then Mr. Naro told us if we didn't "relax" we would all get detention. That's when Juno snapped "HOW WILL YOU GIVE US DENTENTION IF WE ARE ALL DEAD!" she screamed to Mr. Naro. I was both shocked and impressed. So was the rest of my class. I think Mr. Naro got the message because he started helping us barricade the door. He then told us to sit quietly on the floor, while he was going to try to call the police. My class and I then sat on the floor. Most of my classmates were either shaking or hyperventilating. But I was pretty chill. To be honest, I don't even know why. I saw Juno siting and reading a book, I don't know who reads a book during a school shooting but ok. I then sat beside her. "hey that was really cool when you told Mr. Naro to help" I said. "I just pointed out the truth" Juno said in a low whisper. I then realized she was shaking a bit, so I hugged her. I know what you guys are thinking, BUT IT IS NOT LIKE THAT! She then hugged me back. We probably would've hugged forever, but then we heard another gunshot.
Suddenly a girl in my class named Cara said something shocking. "I'm going out" she said as she was removing the barricade from one of the windows. "Are you crazy" I told her. "You might get killed!". "I know" She said, "But my sister is in one of these classes and I need to know if she is ok". She then climbed out the window and ran off into the distance. Everyone was staring at each other, waiting for someone to say something. But nobody said anything. Suddenly the P.A system made an announcement. ATTENTION STUDENTS, THE SHOOTER HAS BEEN ARRESTED! THE CAMPUS IS SAFE! PLEASE DO NOT GO INTO THE RIGHT WING OF THE SCHOOL! THANK YOU! The entire class started cheering, but Juno and I just looked at each other. We both had the same question. What happened in the right wing?
