Blake's pov:
The next morning comes by and I wake up from my very uncomfortable sleep in my car. When I exit my vehicle I notice Valentina's car and inside it is the brunette, peacefully sleeping. I flick my wrist up to check the time and I note it is 8am.
"Morning boss." I'm greeted by Jay's voice who unexpectedly comes to my left side.
"Morning Jay." I smile, stretching my arms. "Any news?" I ask.
"Nothing yet."
I nod and scan the area around us, my eyes immediately noticing who I want to see. Valentina's security stands next to the car she's asleep in. I walk towards him and he immediately hears my footsteps, making him turn his head towards me, his eyes scanning me as if he's assessing the threat I pose.
"Hey listen." I say to him and he nods signaling for me to go on. "I have to make a little trip somewhere, so if they get any detail, wake Val up immediately."
"With all due respect, you're not my boss." He coldly replies moving his gaze away from me.
The answer takes me by surprise, and I chuckle shaking my head. He then turns his gaze towards me again, his eyebrows furrowed as if he's wondering why I chuckled.
"God, you're a funny one." I laugh, stepping in front of him. He shrugs his shoulders in response and looks anywhere but in my eyes. "Look at me." I order and he does, staring in my eyes, his chest out as he wants to seem more confident. "I might not be your boss," I start. "but Val is. And imagine how fucking angry she would be if something happened and she slept through it because of you. This is her sister we are talking about you fucking idiot. So I will repeat myself." I inch closer placing my hands on his collar and tugging a little bit. He stiffens but doesn't say anything. "If anything happens you wake her up. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am." He nods, swallowing hard.
"There you go, that's more like it." I pat his chest with a sly smirk before walking away from him. "Maldito idiota." I mutter to myself as I get to my car where Jay is already seated in the drivers seat. "Fucking idiot."
Before I climb into the passenger seat I walk into the building in front of me. Most of our men still working hard.
"Can I get everyone's attention please?" I say and the busy chatter and fingers typing on keyboards immediately stops and I have everyone's eyes on me. "Thank you." I smile. "I have something to attend and while I am away you all, including my men answer to Valentina. If you find any detail, and I mean even the smallest thing you say everything to her. And my staff, treat her like you would treat me because if you don't there will be problems. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am." Echoes through the room and I nod my head in satisfaction.
"Good, now get back to work." I order and the chatter and keyboard sounds start up almost immediately.
I climb in the passenger seat and put my seatbelt on. "Where to?" Jay asks.
"Los Angeles correction facility." I say and he looks at me in shock. "I have an overdue chat with my father."
