The icy prince

Chapter one: The prince is really annoying and snotty.

I was doing laundry outside in the burning heat because my mom really doesn't have any care for how hot it is. I heard someone yelling and running through out the house, I turned around to see my little sister Emily Barging through the door with a paper in her hands and she ran towards me and yelled.

"Sissy! Look look! "

She ran towards me but I stopped her and I stepped back so I could dry my hands. I took the paper gentlely from her hands. It read, "Dear riders, Your daughter y/n has been selected to take part in a selection process that 29 other females will take part in and at the end of a few months the prince saturo Gojo will choose one lady to marry him and become the next queen . If you wish to be in the selection process please sign the information provided below".

My eyes widened when I read through it then I looked down it Emily and patted her head gently then I said to her with a gentle voice.

"I'm sorry Emily but I don't think I meet the requirements to be in the prince's presence. "

Emily's eye started to weld up in tears then I sighed and I picked here up and walked into the house that we have been living in with my mother and father for my whole life, and left behind the undone laundry. I walked into the kitchen where I found my mother whos smile lit up the room as soon as I walked in I looked at her and rolled my eyes.

"What has you so happy mother? "

My mother's eyes lit up when she heard my voice and she stood up quickly and ran over to me with Emily in my arms, and she grabbed my shoulders tightly.

"Y/n! Are you gonna do it!? It would be great for the family! " She sung the words out like she was one of the most proud parents out there, I couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Mother you know I'm not meant for that, they may have made a mistake, " I said with a calm faces then I sat Emily down and crossed my arms. " and besides I don't have the slightest interest in him because the prince is really annoying and snotty "

Mothers eyes widened and she slapped me then she crossed her hands over her chest, she looked around as if she were seeing if anyone was around.

"Don't say anything like that you know it's not true! "

The place she hit on my face stung from the impact and I rubbed my cheek as I stared at her. I tunered around and walked off towards my room that i shared with Emily since our house was extremely small.

"Y/n get back here right now!" My mom yelled at me from behind me but I completely ignored her and slammed the wooden door to our room. I stayed in my room for a few hours then I heard Emily's soft knock on the door.

"Sissy can I come in? " Emily said with her soft little voice, she's only six she shouldn't be thinking about stuff like this.

"Yeah, I guess" I said crawled up on my rough bed. The Wooden door slowly opened and Emily's small figure walked into the room, she crawed onto the bed I was sitting on.

"Sissy I think you should do it" Emily said in her usual sweet an innocent tone my eyes shifted to hers and I smiled.

"Why though, you know I really don't like the prince. " I said slightly annoyed but I kept my tone in check since I was talking to my little sister of all people.

"It could help us a buncha lot! " Emily said kind of yelling at me but with a pleading tone. Some of the things she said don't really make since but I sighed and gave up. I patted her head on more time.

"Okay fine if it will make my favorite sister happy I will apply for the selection. " Emily's eyes lit up with happieness and she ran out of the room yelling about how happy she was.

"Yay sissy is gonna apply mommy! " I heard her yelling from the other room, I couldnt help but laugh a little then I stood up from my bed and started to walk back to the kitchen. I made it to the kitchen and I sighed when I saw the paper in my mother's hands.

"Mother i'm only doing it so I can help our family okay. I have told you I don't like the prince and I never will, okay. " I said more annoyed the I was a few minutes because of how happy everyone was that I would be sighting up.

"Okay! Thats fine! Because if you are one of the 30 girls that gets selected then you will get to live in the palace! And there family's will get to live up in the higher rank houses" At this point mother was jumping up and down. I sighed then I looked at her and rolled my eyes. I walked over to the paper and started to fill out the form.

"Why does it need to know my eye color and my hair color, what ever. " I continued to fill out the form puting my hair color as me naturally obsidian black hair an my eyes as the color of red like ruby I never knew why they were like that, I had always been different from my family and the rest of the kids in my school that way.

"Oh good your done! " Mother said happily after I finished filling out the form. I was so not ready for what the next few days would bring me.
