Lia went over her script carefully and felt totally prepared to start recording. Meanwhile, Jungkook was in the car, patiently waiting for her. He made sure to stay close by, keeping an eye on her from a little way off.
The recording was successful, and they captured many photos of Lia with the kids and the promotional material to share on social media.
"You did an amazing job, ma'am! We were surprised at how quickly everything got done. While many people needed several tries, you wrapped it up much sooner."One of the team members thanked Lia for her incredible talent and confidence.
"I believe those were all my feelings, which is why I probably remember them so well." Lia smiled and glanced at the kids one last time before continuing her path, tossing her hair and sighing.
Jungkook stepped out of the car and walked over to her. "Hey, is everything okay?"
"Jungkook! You're still here?" she exclaimed, clearly surprised.
"There wasn't much work at the company today, so I decided to wait for you instead of going by myself alone." He replied, resting his hand behind his head and playing with his hair.
"Lia," he inquired, his eyebrows furrowing with concern, "what happened? Your smile seemed to vanish after the recording. Could you tell me if something happened?"
Lia's voice turned somber and filled with empathy as she responded, her gaze fixed on the children.
"When I look at these kids, they seem happy. But they don't know they're facing the illness, and they're fighting to be healthy again. I hope they get healthy quickly and have a better future."
Her voice became even softer as she exhaled deeply, her head hanging low. "I wish I could do more to help them," she said quietly
Jungkook's captivating smile appeared, and he spoke gently, "You've already helped them by bringing me here." He then began walking away
Lia lifted her head with a hint of surprise as she called out to Jungkook, "Hey, where are you going?" She quickened her pace to catch up with him.
Jungkook approached the staff and requested to be directed to the office of the institute's general manager. Once he was pointed in the right direction, he went to the manager's office to meet with them.
Lia followed Jungkook into the office, her inquisitiveness heightened. She silently observed his actions, wondering about the thoughts swirling in his mind.
An elderly lady, who was the manager, greeted them warmly and inquired about the purpose of their visit.
"Today, we got together with the kids while we were recording. Ms. Lia will help you improve the campaign, and she brought me along because I wanted to support you financially in this part." Jungkook said while trying to make the lady feel relieved and happy.
He pulled a check from his pocket, signed it for an amazing amount, and handed it to the woman. "I hope this helps a little, and I'll support you more in the future."
The kind old woman beamed at Jungkook and remarked, "You will truly be a blessing to these little ones, just like an angel. I hope God blesses you abundantly, my son." She was filled with appreciation for his willingness to help.
Jungkook smiled politely as he got up from his chair and walked towards the door where Lia stood. Turning to the elderly woman, he then politely added, "You should thank Lia for her efforts in strengthening this campaign and working hard to gather the necessary support, including my help. She has done a fantastic job overall."
