Holy Hades. She's sitting next to me. Oh my gods. I've always liked her. Annabeth Chase, the daughter of Athena, and I'm just a basic mortal. She could never like me.
"Hey, Rach, you okay?" She asks
"Y-yeah. Totally." I reply.
She wraps her arm around my waist and pulls me close to her. Holy shit. Does she like me? Oh my gods. Holy freaking Hades.
"Rachel, I can tell you're not okay." She says.
"No, Annabeth, I'm totally fine." I reply, my face turning red.
Shit. I know she doesn't like me. She would never like me. She likes Percy. The popular-ass son of Poseidon.
"Come on, Rachel. Tell mee!!" Annabeth begs.
"Promise you won't judge me?" I ask
"I won't, Rach." She says.
"I...like you..." I blurt out.
She pulls me closer, into her lap. Holy shit. Holy Hades... This is insane.
