2 months into High School, 2 months still alive.

You slammed your locker shut as you held your chemistry books. It was the fifth subject of the day, second to last on a Monday. A sullen look surrounded your face while you started to aimlessly walk to class.

There had been many changes within the last months. Both in School and in your home, both positive and many negatives.

One of the negatives is your brother.

The golden-boy prodigy who gets all the love from your parents, from students and even teachers. Whose had girlfriends but never lasted more than a year, who mostly everyone in this whole school knew despite the incoming first-years.

But soon enough, they will.

Chatters among the halls were mostly filled about the game yesterday, the basketball game where your school won by barely 2 points.

You didn't go and didn't need to. Hearing random strangers talk about the game already helped you envision on how the game was.

Shaking your head, you tuned out the rest of the chatters as you quickened your pace. Everywhere you go you heard your brothers name.

Arlo this, Arlo that. You started to hate the name. Started to cringe when they said his full name,

Arlo [L/n.].

Nobody knew the two of you were related, and probably never will. He wouldn't want that, for everyone to know he was related to such a person. A person who isn't "equal" to him.

You and your brother don't talk. Never spoken more than a word to each other since you guys were kids. You didn't know why, but the two of you used to be very close with each other.

Now, you were just strangers living in a house together.

Not that you minded. You didn't like him as a person, but didn't hate him. He was just.. there.

"[Name]! Over here!"

You sighed internally once you entered your chemistry class, quickly finding Leta who waved both of her arms at you. Her curly hair which was put in a high pony-tail bounced with her movements, a wide grin on her face.

You noticed she was seated with two other girls.

They were not in your class, you knew that for sure. You guessed they belonged to another class, more specifically— they were a year older than you.

Leta made many friends over the course of 2 months, majority with second-years. She was appearantly too popular to just be hanging out with the first years.

While you barely socialized with any of your own classmates.

You tried to be jealous of Leta, but you ultimately shrugged it off. This was already your life for the past 16 years, what was there to be jealous of?

"Hey."

You greeted nonchalantly, settling yourself to the seat next to her. You quickly felt the stares of Leta's friends.

"Who is she?"

One of the girls whispered to Leta.

"That's [Name], my best friend."
