After the break ended, we headed back to class. "Sorry" Sanaya slipped seat next to me and whispered. I just shook my head in response, hoping to ease her nerves. She had been anxious earlier while applying medicine to Akshnav's injured hands.

I let out a breath, trying to calm myself down after the little chaos that was our break. But then, I froze. A gentle tug on my pallu-barely noticeable, but enough to make my heart race.

Startled, I turned around quickly, only to find Akshnav gripping it tightly, his head resting on the bench. My pallu was draped over his face, and there he was, slumped on his desk like a child who'd just had enough of the day.

What a sight to see!

My heart thudded wildly in my chest so loud that I was sure everyone around me could hear it. Akshnav had no idea what this was doing to me-my fragile heart couldn't handle this.

I felt a fluttering sensation in my stomach, like a thousand butterflies had taken flight, all because of him. This man... does he even realize what he's doing to me?

Before I could fully process the situation, the subtle sound of clicking cameras reached my ears. My head snapped up, and I realized some girls were snapping photos. Whispering too.

Oh no.

My cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I saw the way people were staring-talking about us. My lips pressed into a thin line as I exhaled, trying to calm my nerves.

The professor, sensing the shift in the room's atmosphere, cleared his throat to bring everyone's attention back to the lecture. I turned back to face the front, but my mind was a mess.

To make matters worse, I could feel him softly blowing air onto my back, sending shivers down my spine. The bare skin of my back tingled with every breath he exhaled.

"Akshnav!" I warned, my voice barely above a whisper, trying to keep it together and not cause more of a scene. I couldn't even catch the professor's words; they sounded distant, like a muffled background noise I could hardly focus on.
