All it takes is one moment to alter your life's path.
This is Katsuki Bakugou's moment.
When Kirishima left UA, no one really understood why or how. And if you had asked Bakugou about it, he'd act indifferent, like he didn't care.
But it felt like a part of him left with Kirishima.
Like someone cut a limb off of him.But Bakugou would never admit that to anyone.
Days turn to months. Months to years.
But the feeling never leaves.
Many years later, when Bakugou is well into his twenties, he sees Kirishima.
But it's not a joyful feeling.
Kirishima's face is all over the place.
Pictures taken by the press.
Big, bold headlines read:
Former UA High Student: Kirishima Eijirou, Former Hero in training, now a villain.
The news is suffocating.
Bakugou's head swims. His eyes water.
Everyone calls him.
Message after message.
Messages turn to missed calls.
Bakugou can't talk about it. Won't talk about it.
He shoves it to the back of his brain and pretends it doesn't exist.
Bakugou works harder. Pushes himself until he breaks.
Then breaks some more.
So when Bakugou says it only takes one fucking moment to change your path.
He fucking means it.

Bakugou is walking home from the gym, he's been put on wellness leave, courtesy of Big Jeanist.
“You aren't well Bakugou.”
Deku has been non stop with his coddling.
He stops by every damn day.
“You should talk about it, Kacchan. You need to eat Kacchan.”
Bakugou doesn't want to hear it.
So he goes to the gym and works out until he can't feel his limbs.
Until his brain shuts up.
Bakugou is walking, it's dark out, the only lights are from the city.
