nessa strongly considered staying home the next day. just the thought of having to see lynn again made her want the ground to open and swallow her. she already felt so horrible, and knew that school was going to make it 10 times worse.

you could see very clearly that shed spent most of her night awake, but at one point she decided that she didnt care, there was no one to impress anyway. she felt empty, but still a part hoped it was either a bad dream or just a terrible mistake. unfortunately for her, lynn stood her ground and wasnt going to regret it if what she concluded was right.

nessa spent most of her first classes half asleep, but the teachers werent teaching anything she was going to remember anyway. besides, summerbreak was 1 week away and to say she was exited to get out of the hellhole she was currently stuck in and be free of the faces of the people there was an understatement.

the third period went by, meaning it was lunch. not that she actually ate anything as the situation had really killed her appatite, but still a 20 minute break.

her eyes searched the cafeteria for eva, but instead she saw lynn at the table with her friends. she looked up and met nessas eyes, but looked away quickly. for lynn, this made her stomach turn in the worst way possible, but for nessa, this was like the knife lynn had stabbed in her heart the day before was just pushed all the way through then twisted four times.

her walk sped up when she spotted eva. she wouldve bit the inside of her cheek raw if it wasnt for her best and probably only friend speaking up. "whats wrong?" she reached for her hand, taking it in both of hers. "if its about those rumours augustine has been telling, like i said, ignore them. they just dont have anything better to do and figured youre an easy target" she comforted, but it didnt really help. "what if it wasnt just a rumour?" nessa almost whispered, trying her best to keep her voice steady, not wanting to cry where everyone could see her. "what are you implying?" evas face furrowed in confusion.

"lynn and i were together" she whispered, already regretting bringing up the topic. "were? why didnt you tell me?" eva couldnt describe the way her stomach turned when she said that. were. they were. "she didnt want me to tell anyone" nessa looked down at the table, feeling a tear roll down her cheek. eva wasnt sure of what to do to comfort her, but took the moment to ask about it as she wasnt sure if nessa was ever going to bring it up again. "what happened?" nessa brushed away the tear and finally met her eyes. "she broke up with me.. i guess cause she thought i told or something" she shrugged her shoulders, simply just feeling the sting in her heart. "did you?" eva asked with a soft gaze, like she would break if she looked at her in any other way. "of course i didnt"

"maybe im the problem" eva wrapped her arms around her best friend. "dont say that. if she was embarrassed of people finding out, thats her problem. not you" nessa continued to stare at the table, knowing that eva was wrong. after lynn said she needed time, nessa had given her nothing but that, still people found out and now lynn is going to live saying she never shouldve trusted nessa.

nessa stared at the pictureframes on her dresser. her fingertips were longing to rip apart the picture and burn it, then throw it out the window.

in a way she let her intrusive thoughts win. she threw away the pictures and grabbed the hoodie with the letters spelling 'loud' on the back that she never returned and the bracelet she got just a few days ago and walked down the road she had walked almost daily for weeks, but the exitement she usually felt was long gone.

she couldnt help but take in the smell of the hoodie once more, even tho it made her eyes water again. her stomach hurt as she stepped onto the porch and stared at the door. she stood there for about a minute before actually knocking, realizing she could actually be met by lynn opening the door.

her leg rocked back and forth as she waited after knocking and she kept reminding herself to breathe when there were steps heard from the other side of the door.

for once, luck was on her side and it was another one of the loud sisters opening. luna gave a confused look at the girl in front of her because she couldnt remember the last time nessa had knocked before walking in.

"vanessa, hey. im really glad your here. do you think you could go talk to lynn? she hasnt said a word to anyone or left her room all day" she asked, her gaze softening when she noticed the smudged mascara resting under the girls eyes. "no, i dont want to see lynn, just give her this" she sniffled, holding out the hoodie and refusing to meet her eyes, but luna didnt grab it. "why, what happened?" luna shut the door behind her and stood outside with her. "you know what, i dont care. just-" nessa cut herself off and threw the sweater at the rockstars feet, basically sprinting away.

luna stared at the red clothing laying in front of her for a second before picking it up, hearing something fall again. the purple bracelet layed on the ground waiting to get picked up as luna felt a pit in her stomach, already having a suspicion and a bad feeling about what might had happened.

a this point she didnt care about knocking before walking into her sisters room, because she was going to get an answer. "lynn, what happened" luna said in a way proving it was no longer a question. the younger loud quickly spotted the hoodie in her sisters hands, ignoring what she said. "what is that?" her voice was stern and she tried acting unbothered, but she knew exactly what it was. " vanessa was here" at the mention of the name, her stomach dropped. "oh, ok" was all she replied, something that made lunas patience cut down faster. "lynn, she looked like she was about to cry and then gives back this. what did you do?" luna said calmly, holding herself together instead of snapping like she really wanted to. "why are you assuming its my fault?!" lynn offendedly said. "because why else would she not want to see you?"

after that lynn went quiet. "please tell me" luna sat down on the edge of the bed. "its none of your business" deep down lynn was hurt by it, but she tried not to think about it that way and spent most her time being angry instead. "well if you wont tell me what happened can you tell me whats wrong atleast?" luna pleaded. "can you leave me alone?" lynn said calmly even tho her fists were clutched.

luna gave in and left after that, in hope that maybe shed tell her another time, but with lynn, you never know. she was very much capable of shutting down and never tell anyone what happened and all her sisters knew this.
