The outside of the world

It was night that was sure in fact it was 1am at the moment. Max was still awake they probebly shouldent be but here ther they wher laying on ther back just on ther phone doing nothing realy. They wher tierd but still couldent sleep so ther was nothing to do. Or well they could go up on the roof ther dad wouldent mind that they knew for sure. And so they got up leaving ther room the apartment was dark ofcours it was. Ther dad was asleep but as they walked past the liveing room wher he sleeped he woke up.
"Max? Wher are you going?" He asked still sounding half asleep.
"I couldent sleep so im going to the roof for a bit." They said only sounding like a quarter asleep.
"Oh okay stay safe out ther," he said laying back down to go to sleep.
"Mhm," they said mostly to themself rater then ther dad. They keeped walking reatcing the door out of the apartment they exited. Walking thro the apartment building was like a horrer movie it was dark like really dark. Ther was suppsed to be self lighting lights but they had all broken over time. It wasent that scary to max well it was still scary but not that much. This was mainly becaus thay had walked down this hallway att night so many times. To get to the roof ther sanctuary the place they could be alone it was the best. After all why else would they be up ther so much.

They looked down to see the stret down below them. From up on the roof evrything just looked so smal. They smiled looking down at the coupal of cars going by ther werent so many down ther at this time. It was cold up ther Max half regreted haveing ther hair so short. But it made them feel better haveing it this way. They sat down on the lege of the roof and looked up at the stars.

The stars wher beautiful just like they always were. The way they just layed in the black sky it was one of the best things Max knew. Not just becous the way they looked but also the way they wher just always ther. Always looking over Max they loved them.

They wher up ther for about ten minutes. They would have been up ther for longer but they wher far to cold. They stud up agen looking at the stars one last time befor turning to leve.

Back down the creeking stairs, back trough the dark hallway. And lastly back inside the apartment. They walked past the living room agan ther dad dident wake up this time (or maybe he did who cares). They opened the door to ther room and entered. They layed back down on ther bed as they were tierd. As they started to drift of to sleep ther last thoght was.
"man i need friends"
