"Sup? Bud"

Taehyung let out a heavy sigh as he flopped down on the couch. He glanced over at his best bud, who was glued to his phone, totally ignoring him.

"Wow, not even a word back? Awesome! Looks like your phone is your only friend now!" Taehyung rolled his eyes in frustration, but Jungkook seemed totally chill about it.

Taehyung could feel his patience wearing thin, with a swirl of emotions bubbling inside him.

Normally, Taehyung kept things bottled up. He was more of a quiet thinker than a loud talker. Socializing wasn't really his thing, and he usually stayed on his own in group settings.

But Jungkook, his ride-or-die, was the one person he could really count on, feeling more like family than a friend.

Life hadn't been easy for Taehyung; he lost his family when he was young and grew up in an orphanage, only to be kicked out when he turned 18.

Taehyung and Jungkook met in high school, and their friendship was the kind that made everyone else either admire or envy them.

They were each other's safe haven in a tough world.

Sometimes, Taehyung would think about what life would be like without Jungkook. Jungkook's mom was also super caring and treated Taehyung like her own kid.

Before, Taehyung felt at home with them. The cozy family vibes brought them closer together. They could confide in each other, share dreams, and lend support.

Taehyung would do anything for Jungkook. But lately, Jungkook's obsession with his phone was really starting to bug Taehyung.

Resting against the couch, Taehyung crossed one leg over the other, trying to get comfy, but it was making him even more irritated.

He could feel his frustration getting heavier, like a big, annoying blanket weighing him down.

With a burst of annoyance, he shouted, "Jeon Jungkook! Stop ignoring me!" His voice bounced off the walls, finally pulling Jungkook's attention from the screen, even if just for a second.

But of course, Jungkook flashed that familiar playful bunny smile of his, showing he really didn't care, and went right back to his phone.

"Hyung, I'm dealing with something important right now. Can you please stop bothering me?" Jungkook said, sounding light and dismissive, which only made Taehyung more frustrated.

Jungkook kept scrolling through his notifications, fingers flying over the screen while Taehyung just sat there, feeling more and more isolated.

He raked a hand through his messy hair, trying to find a way to express himself.

Taehyung is so sensitive when it's come to Jungkook.

He wished Jungkook would understand him, that they could connect for just a moment in the middle of all this disconnection.

But with each second, that felt further away.

The long hours of silence were really testing Taehyung's patience, and he couldn't shake the feeling that this emotional gap was getting way too big to cross.

"Hey, what are you even doing with that phone?" Taehyung asked, raising an eyebrow like he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

He pulled out his own phone and started scrolling through it, getting a bit distracted.
